No head. Dark brown color. Nose is earthy with hints of whiskey, Halloween candy. Malty mouth with much more caramel, chocolate and whiskey notes. Can’t say its overly complex but not bad (this is 2006 release)

Bottle shared at Chrisso’s May 2014 tasting 25/05/2014. Thanks to Ian? Japanese Scottish Ale? Dark orange / amber coloured pour with a halo of off whiute head. Aroma is sweet caramel, stale malts. Palate is sticky sweet, . Flavour is corn, caramel bullshit.

Tasting at the ever gracious ChrisO’s. Hazy gold - amber beer, small very pale cream colourer head. Palate is light and airy. Caramel malts and creamy sweetness. Whisper of tangy dried fruits. Light dry finish. Not too bad.

2013 Can @ Chriso May 14 tasting. Pours amber, thin white head, sweet orange aroma, taste presents hoppy caramel, overripe fruits, apricot, malts. An interesting taste but not sure I could stomach a few cans of it.

2013 can @ Chriso. It pours clear amber with a medium yellow-white head. The nose is musty, sweet, sticky, caramel and orange sponge cake. The taste is toasty, orange sponge cake, candied peel, muffin, earthy, toast, hay, sherbet and icing sugar with a dry finish. Light-medium body and fine carbonation. A bit sweet and one-dimensional. Not for me....

Can from the brewery. 2013 version. Malty nose, caramel and some smoke. Lightly salty. Medium brown with a low head. Malty, smoky flavor, caramel, peat, peaches, orange. Interesting. Doesn’t all mesh so well, but still nice. Somewhat sweet, but still balanced.
