Bottle from the brewery online shop. Pours clear dark ruby brown with a thin off-white head. Aromas of chocolate and hazelnut. Taste adds some fruitiness, but largely about the chocolate and hazelnut. Clean finish. Nice mild.

500ml bottle as part of a delivery from the brewery. Mid-brown, a bit translucent with a thick beige/khaki head. Cereal aroma, roasted malts, some powdered hot chocolate. Tastes pretty sweet put there is a bitter edge to it nearer to the long finish. More chocolate in the aftertaste. Good body for a mild with a decent amount of carbonation. Very nice indeed.

500ml bottle [courtesy of Grumbo - cheers Graham!]. Clear, chestnut colour with ruby shimmer and average to huge, thick, firm, creamy, moderately lasting and lacing, off-white to beige head. Toasty, earthy nutty, malty and floral, leafy, fruity, hoppy aroma, notes of Brazil nut, hints of red berries, a minimally waxy, hoppy touch as well. Taste is toasty, nutty, dark malty malty, leafy, earthy, fruity hoppy, hints of Brazil nut, a touch of (not so) dark chocolate, hints of forest fruit, dark berries, diluted elderberry, maybe even a touch of dried mushrooms. Watery texture, smooth and soft, minimally dry palate, fine and soft carbonation. I simply like the style: mostly beers with character at low abv - and this is another good representative.
