330ml bottle. Pours black with moderate tan head. Aromas of spicy bourbon, sour mash, chocolate nougat, and oily roasted malts. Flavors of rich nutty chocolate, coffee liqueur, whiskey, coconut, dark caramel, and lots of oily roasted malts. Oily and hot. An excellent sipper.

330 ml bottle from Etre Gourmet, bottled 20 Sept 18. Black. oily liquid, with a tiny, creamy, coffee-colored head. Aroma of melting dark chocolate, bourbon, wood, vanilla, tobacco, toffee. Beautiful taste, with similar aromas, but more intense, like bitter chocolate. Full, very oily mouthfeel, with a moderate carbonation. Finishes warm, a bit boozy, dry, roasty, moderate sweet, wooden, with bourbon, tobacco, cocoa powder, bitter chocolate, some liquorice. Delicious! Dense and complex, with the bourbon barrel beautifully integrated. Different to those many similar Bourbon BA Imperial Stouts, with a unique character, that reminds me of liquid bitter chocolate. Also pretty smooth for the ABV. Beautiful stuff! Score: 8 / 4 / 9 / 5 / 17

Bottle. Black with small, light tan lacing head. Good malty aroma, sweet bourbon barrel, dry wood, vanilla and chocolate. Sweet flavour, rich malt, roast, wood, vanilla and solid bourbon warmth. Loooong bourbon finish, not overly boozy though. Well balanced considering the ABV. Nice sipper, smooth with a good alc kick. Lovely.
