Opaque dark brown beer, small tan head. Smooth palate, a little soft and mildly dry, reasonable fine carbonation. Rich dark malts presented in a fairly light way. Good dark chocolate in great balance with a mature and slightly woody bourbon. Dark chocolate Malteasers. Mellow fruity bourbon. Smooth and semi dry finish. Mild spicy linger. Superior. Just has the immediate and obvious maturity, sophistication and depth, that hard to define natural 'rightness'. Great stuff.

Bottle from the Buxton online store, consumed at home whilst cooking a Polpo Basic Tomato Sauce for a Canelloni and also making a Delia Smith Spinach and Ricotta Canelloni, Sunday 18th November 2018 Pours black with a small beige head. Wonderful aroma, meaty, oaky, chocolate, it's all there. In the mouth it's a little hot which must be the abv and yet I get those same aromas translated into the mouth perfectly. This is silky smooth, chocolate with bourbon, it's all here. Marvellous, simply marvellous. A8 A4 T9 P5 Ov17. 4.4

Bottle. Black pour. Aroma of rich bourbon vanilla, oak, chocolate, cherry and caramel. Taste has rich bourbon vanilla, sweet caramel, ripe red fruit, oak, booze, some licorice and molasses. Thick and heavy, with lots of bourbon, just what I was hoping for.

33 cl bottle @ Konttori. Bottled 20.09.2018, BBE 20.09.2023. Aroma has bourbon, alcohol, sweet malty notes and ripe fruits. Flavour has strong bourbon tones, alcohol, glueish tones and wood. Too sweet and too much alcohol.

Bottle at home, with some tangy cheeses, 12/11/18. Pitch black with a decent tan covering that makes an effort to hang and chat eventually dissipating to a swirl. Nose is mellow roast, light bourbon infuse, dark chocolate, molasses, spice, fruit cake, light booze fumes. Taste comprises rich roast, toffee, chocolate, light black peppery spice, bourbon stained oak, dates, toasted brown sugar, light mollasses licks. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with gentle warming alcohol and mellow bourbon. Solid easy drinking BA impy that comes in a good shade below the ABV.

Flaska från SB. Tjock kolsvart vätska. Stor varm rostad doft med en hel del bourbon. Choklad fudge och bourbon med medelstor sötma buret av en stor kropp som skapar en stor len munkänsla. Avslutningen kärvare med hårdorstad bitter eftersmak som knyter ihop sötma bra. Bra balans, snyggt integrerad bourbon och en massiv kropp. Mycket bra.

Pours black, decent dark head. Smell is full, woody, bourbon, roasty. Taste is full, chocolate ( pure) roasty, bourbon, oak, boozy ( but acceptable) might mellow out a bit over time, which could improve the beer in total. Pretty refined base. Pretty good as is, might turn even better with some time on it.
