This new deep golden bitter, brewed exclusively for this Wetherspoon real-ale festival, is packed full of New Zealand hop varieties, resulting in tropical fruit aromas which lead to a grapefruit sharpness, balanced by smooth malt notes which help to provide a full-flavoured character.

Cask at Standing Order, Derby. Pours a slightly hazy golden yellow with a small white head and good lacing. Oranges and general citrus in the nose for this one. The mouthfeel is sweet with oranges and tropical fruits. Some graininess coming through later. Finish is fruity. Overall not bad. This completes my sampling of the Wetherspoons Beer Festival – I shall now detox !

Hand-pulled half pint in my local Spoon's on 6th April 2022. Clean golden body, white topping. I thought this 'OK', the New Zealand hop varieties giving it a soft citrussy feel throughout.

[Cask at the Back of Beyond (JDW), Reading.] A pale straw coloured pour with a tight cream coloured head; bready aroma; grainy mouthfeel; then a dry grapefruit bitterness and a rather syrupy finish.
