This bronze-coloured beer is the first in this brewery’s range for its ‘Pints Mean Trees’ initiative, aiming to plant a tree for every barrel sold. English hop bitterness prevails in this beer resulting in a traditional style which is enhanced by fruity hints, delivering a softness to the palate and a pleasing zest.

Cask-conditioned at the Commercial Rooms (JDW), Bristol March 2022. Golden in colour, with a thin, white, head. Perfumed floral hops, rich tea malts, some stone fruits, leading to a moderately bitter finish. Ok.

Third of a pint, hand-pulled in The Butler's Bell, Stafford on 8th April 2022. It didn't pull up any trees for me, but it was a pleasant enough copper/bronze coloured beer with a lasting white crown on top. Light piney nose and taste, mild fruity feel.

Cask at Butlers Bell, Stafford. Pours golden yellow with a small frothy white head and good lacing. There’s some floral hops in the nose. In the mouth there are bitter (traditional) hops to start, which soon switch to sweet malts before finally reverting back to hops. Some autumn fruits too and a base of caramel. Not bad at all this one.
