33cl bottle. A clear amber beer with a big beige head. Aroma of reddish malt, leaves and caramel. Taste of caramelized red malt, leaves, minimal hints of smoke.
Smooth mild beginning. Not much smoke there. Nice red malty texture, fruity. Round malty body, red caramelly, fruity, moderate dry sweetish back. Nice red beer, but no smoke at all! --- Beer merged from original tick of Feierdeife on 05 Sep 2022 at 21:53 - Score: 6. Original review text: Smooth mild beginning. Not much smoke there. Frischer, hefig malziger Beginn. Mild karamellig, das Raucharoma ist mild, fast hintergründig. Milde Bitterkeit, spritzig, herb-getreidig. Trockener und bitterer Abgang, in dem das Raucharoma ebenfalls nur eine Nebenrolle spielt. 10/9/10/9/9/9

330 ml bottle. Unclear copper with a creamy head. Lots of caramel, metal, light citrus, roasted malt. Malty sweetness, some dryness. Medium bodied, oily texture, lively carbonated, mild dry sweet finish. Okay, where is the smoke?

Bottles from Jonas, thanks! Hazy red amber with moderate head, lightly smoky-malty nose with mineral character. Medium-bodied beer that doesn't quite satisfy like the Special Rauchbier I drank just before, but is smoky and tasty in a slightly milder constellation. Definitely a mineral flavor, moderate bitterness, quite quaffable.

Bottle courtesy of Jonas, Cheers Mate! Had this at home Thursday 17th March 2022 (St Patricks Day) listening to Steve Lamaq on 6Music and about to start cooking something, not sure what yet, maybe a curry! Pours mid gold, reasonable clarity, white head. Soft mouthfeel, a little smoke but this is very subtle, a little chewy malt, touch of metallic twang. Actually, the smokiness is a gradual slow burner and builds eventually.

Bottle. Clear golden color with off-white head. Aroma is very mild smoke, ham, sweetish. Taste is juicy malts, again mild smoke, on the sweet side. Oily mouthfeel, natural carbonation. Not bad, but could be more smoky.

Bottle. Light hazy amber, fine carbonation, golden cream. Herbal, light singed cucumber aroma. Medium body, mellow chewy mouthfeel. Light bready, juicy malt base. Caramel sweetness, roast, just a hint smoke, gooseberry, juicy finish, moreish.
