Mooch tasting, courtesy of Sergey
Black colour, with brown ring. Nice chocolate aroma, with notes of vanilla, leather. Unique feeling, it's very thick but not sweet (minimal sweetness), good notes of chocolate, vanilla, spicy coffee, alcohol. Some tobacco in the finish. Very good, weirdly not sweet.

Leftovers from 750ml (thx, Eric D.!) from the 3 days ago tasting on Alex's porch. Appearance: dark brown with almost no head. Aroma: a chocolate bomb with noticeable vanilla and some nuts. Taste: along the same lines, with black chocolate and a bit of nice coffee aftertaste. Overall: very nice, not sure why others didn't like it during the initial tasting, maybe their taste buds were already destroyed? Definitely one the best lately released non-BA pastries.

Dark brown, Toasty, has a chocolate accent, some coffee. On the palate, it's thin. There's some toast, some chocolate. Hint of vanilla. Not going anywhere, really.

750mL bottle, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out toasted peanuts, with lots of cacao, and vanilla. Flavour is bizarre, with harsh, burnt nuts, harsh vanilla, harsh booziness, and a hint of sweetness. Harsh, boozy and just very bad... borderline undrinkable. Bad. What the hell, Bas-Canada?

Got the last of the keg at the Gatineau brewery, as picking up my weekly stash. Dark brown colour with a beige head and good foamy patches of lacing. Big chocolate, cacao powder most with the almond and vanilla well-blended. The mouthfeel is smooth with the alcohol well-hidden. The taste shows the chocolate, but not too sweet. More on the cacao side with the mild almond-vanilla lingering. Enough hops, coffee bitterness to cut the sweet typical dessert feel. Hints of raisins eventually come out in the finish. Another good one to sip and enjoy slowly.

(750ml bottle from the brewery webshop, thanks Luc for the assist!) Pours black with a tiny pale tan head and no lace. Aroma is dark chocolate almond bark, earthy coffee, cacao, floral lightly sweet vanilla, some marzipan, caramel sweetness. Flavour is sweet pale caramel malt, creamy almost candied almonds really banging mid sip, vanilla, earthy coffee and dark chocolate building later in the sip, a little roast acidity but no real bitterness. Almond aftertaste with caramel, earthy roasty cocoa/coffee vibes into the aftertaste. Medium-plus bodied, oily, very fine but quite filling carbonation, no alcohol. A bit of a quirky pastry stout given the fruity, somewhat acidic profile and lack of heavy notes to weight it down, but the combination of almond and coffee is a good one. Nice sipper.

Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a large dark brown foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of fudge notes with some coffee, vanilla and some almond notes. Taste is also a mix of fudge with some vanilla notes and floral coffee notes with some residual sugar and almond notes. Body is full with good carbonation. Enjoyable pastry stout with a taste reminiscent of almond coffee creamer.
