Bottle from Beer Republic. Sweetish with oak, gin, juniper, herbal notes, malt, some caramel and a little alcohol. Medium sweet flavour, light bitter, bit boozy. Very nice.

full amber color. Amazing gin herb and stewed oranges in the nose. Sweet malty, very herbal, a touch of oak. Much more like a cocktail. Full body. Rounded amazing depth . Excellent

Panda at home, thanks to Kenny, 10/09/23. Almost clear amber with a fast escaping white cap. Nose is stewed fruits, caramel, herb, candied orange peel, toffee. Taste comprises fruit cake mix, spice, herb, modest lime zest, caramel, booze, dates, sticky toffee pudding. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a balanced rising boost. Tidy strong.

2nd September 2023
Hazy orange amber beer, small pale cream colour head. Smooth palate, mildly dry, decent fine minerally carbonation. Airy light malts, light creamy sweetness, light caramel sweetness. Good gin! Crisp, decent Gin botanicals, aromatic but not overwhelming. Mild soft lime, well buried under the Gin. Light finish. Different! How would you brew a BA gin barrel BW? Pretty much like this I think. Nice combo of malts and bold Gin barrelling.

Bottle. A- Orange peel, lime, gin, spruce, caramel. A- Amber color, hazy liquid, white head. T- Juniper, pine, bitter, lime, faint tartness, caramel, malty. P- Full body, average texture, average carbonation, bitter finish. O- Pretty strong and get a lot of gin barrel influence with a fair amount of citrus. Pretty good but wanted it to be a bit more nuanced.

Vintage 2020. An amber beer, a head is quite small and blond. Aroma has lime, caramel, bitter, some gin and spicyness. Taste has smooth maltyness, caramel, lime, spicyness. Almost full bodied. Interesting. I like this.

2020 bottle. Unclear amber with a near white head that doesn't last long. Yes, aroma of lime and gin - and extra gin botanicals. Underneath is sticky breadcrust. Upon a taste there is again gin, but then it's swept away by a swell of moderately sweet fat barley wine. Then a little bitterness, then lime and spices (and juniper berries, I'd guess) return. A fun, dangerously downable drink.
Gin BA best BA doesn't apply to barleywines as much as it does to Saisons and wild ales buuuut this is pretty tasty. Juniper and lime massively on the nose, definitely cocktail vibes, light mouthfeel for a barleywine, but it's FUN. Annie photo replacement

12 oz. bottle from the brewery. Pours translucent amber with a fast disappearing beige head. Aroma has gin, but not so strong as I'd like. Lime notes. Med plus body. Flavor is gin/juniper with sugar (aka malt?) and kaffir lime leaves. A Rickey is supposed to be sugar free, so I'm thinking the malt is an issue of sorts. But enough of my grousing. I like it!

12 oz bottle from the Firestone Webstore. Nose is lime, juniper berries, ginger, and a hint of vanilla AKA a Gin Rickey cocktail. Lightly hazy golden amber with a medium cream colored head. Flavor is vanilla and gin forward with a little limey tartness. Pretty different from the normal Firestone Walker brews.
