BA Stoutwine
An Imperial Baltic Porter brewed with Bisongrass and aged in apple brandy barrels, in collaboration with Pinta Barrel Brewing.
Taste: Herbal spiciness meets with sweet espresso and sour cherry before mixing with notes of oak and candied autumnal apples.
Appearance: Jet black with a dark brown head.
Nose: Toffee apples and spicy bison grass jumps out of the glass, before being joined by fresh pair drop candies, hints of cinnamon, and a lingering aroma of malty sweetness.
Malts: Pilsner zero, Aromatic malt, Carafa special T-2, Cherry smoked pale malt, DRC
Hops: Columbus

Rich and sweet, nice stewed dark fruits, some chocolate, mellow roast and earthy bitterness. Lingering boozy warmth, bittersweet cocoa, burnt sugars. Tasty.

From tap at Põhjala Brewery & Tap Room, Tallinn. Rather sweet with roasted malt, apple brandy barrel, dark chocolate, booze. Full body, long sweet warming finish. Nice one to sip on.

Tap @MBCC 2024, Red Session. Oily black, small beige head. Heavy boozy barrel, dark malty aroma. Sweet flavour, sweet boozy, bitter flavour. Rich dark malty, quite woody dryness.

Bottle, 13C. Black. A near coat of tan head doesn't last. Grand but not flabby aroma is roasty and fudgy with mocha and oak. Apple brandy is pretty obvious in the taste though, which is very sweet before lots of bitterness. Macerated fruit, green nuts. Obviously strong and warming but not much unintegrated alcohol. Full bodied, low carbonation. 330ml is a sharing size.

Sample@TCBW2024 Opaque colour and tiny beige head. Coffee, cocoa. ash, alcohol and whiskey in the nose. Mediun-bodied. Toasted, coconut, whiskey, toffee in the flavour. Too sweet but ok.
