Today we're releasing a new farmhouse ale refermented with four different types of Texas summer melons -- Watermelon, Casaba melon, Santa Claus melon, and Sugar Kiss melon!
Farmhouse Ale Refermented with Texas Summer Melons was brewed in August with well water, malted barley, malted oats, wheat, and hops. It was fermented in stainless steel with our mixed culture and refermented with the summer melons. It's 5.8% alcohol by volume, unfiltered, unpasteurized, and 100% naturally conditioned.

Bottle shared with the boys. I was very much looking forward to this beer but oh boi, everything in there is shadowed by chlorophenols unfortunately, band aid leaves almost no space for the beer to show itself. It’s a shame.

Capped 750 mL bottle shared by Sarah F at the May 2023 PS tasting, 5/20/23. Hazy yellow, large white head, average retention. Aroma of funk, hay, dank, melon. Taste is pepper, olive, funk, melon, green, mustard. Strong tart. Interesting and complex. Weird in a good way. My favorite and the overall favorite of the tasting.

750 bottle, Batch 1 oct 2020. Light Blond pour with a smallish white head that soon dissipates to a fine scum and ring around the glass. The aroma is medium in strength with funk. classic dupont strain yeast, white fruits, spicy herbs and something floral. The taste is classic saison with soured melons, cucumbers and a bit of lemon zest. The palate was full with lively/prickly carbonation. Finished long and dry. Overall: Decent--I'm not a big fan of fruity saisons but this one worked for me--really liked it.

Clear pale yellow beer, no head. Aroma: a bit chemical, some phenols, cloves, spicy. MF: lively carbon, medium body. Taste: dry and spicy start, pretty bitter, a little fruity, some lemon rind, herbal touch. Aftertaste: grains, hay, spicy, some citrus, ok beer.

Arôme sur un bouquet frais, finement mielleux/melon fleuri, champ, côté melon pressé avec un retour de grains qui vient asseoir le volet framhouse.
Palais est fin présentant un caractère rustique qui fait la signature de Jester King, cela donne des effluves de grains concassés avec une levure fine sauvage. L'apport de melon frais offre une belle fraicheur en bouche sans pour cela y ajouter trop de sucrosité - fini est sec avec une note de critrique.

750ml bottle pours out hazy straw topped with a white head. Nose is lemon vest funky notes maybe a touch of the melons. Taste is more of the nice tart funky citrus lemon zest and a touch of melons.
