With Whale Shark we explore how deep we can dive into the creamy depths of the New England IPA beerstyle.
We experiment with specialty grains like emmer to give an über-luxurious mouthfeel and add heaps of hops. V2 is a Double IPA version with Citra and Idaho7 Cryo dryhop bringing that peachy citrusy juice vibe.

Can from Drankenhandel Leiden. Aroma is fruity hop with tropical fruits, citrus, orange, soft pale malt. Flavour is medium bitter with a hint of hop burn. Body is medium. Juicy and well realised.

33cl Blik. Troebelgele kleur, witte kraag. Veel tropisch fruit en citrus, limoen, fris, later iets meer zalf-achtig mondgevoel en smaak, licht herbaal, ook redelijk zoet, hint van perzik, weinig bitter. Lichte tot medium body.

Can at Sams before the hops die #2 tasting 02/09/2022 - medium sweet fruity with lots of juicy tropical and citrus notes, sweet malty backing, bitter edged hoppy close. Very nice.

Cloudy beige yellow beer, huge creamy dense head, a bit irregular, yellowish, pillowy, stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: oh my, this is the shit! So super juicy and fruity, dank hops, resinous, lots of citrus, some onions, very intense, lovely! MF: ok carbon, medium to full body. Taste: very fruity start, gentle bitterness, tropical fruits, almost sweet, zesty, grapefruit, piny hops. Aftertaste: juicy, mango, a bit sweet, some alcohol, very good stuff, I really like it, juicy, oranges, some orange peel, dry and bitter finish.

Blik geprobeerd met Keukeman op een tasting bij Addictee2craftBeer. Het is een diep troebel oranje geel bier met een volle witte schuimkraag. Het heeft een fruitige geur van perzik en hop. De smaak is vol fruitig, zacht zoet en hoppig.

Pours a murky dark yellow colour and a dense white head with a little retention. Aroma's: Dank (with a capital D), herbal, stinky, onion. Retronasal it's dank, doughy, light sweet. Flavour is moderate sweet, light moderate bitter. Medium bodied, soft carbonation. Light moderate bitter finish.

Can. Color: Very hazy orange, creamy white head. Aroma: Hoppy, orange, mango. Taste: Very creamy, lightly resinous hoppy, very fruity orange, mango, hints of orange peel, tangerine, peach and grapefruit, light hints of lime. Light spicy hints too. Moderate going to over moderate bitter and moderate sweet. Smooth malty background. Just over medium body, average carbonation. Dry-ish finish. Very nice, very fruity in a good way, nice mouthfeel. I love this Whale Shark serie.
