Op tap bij Brauhaus am Kreuzberg, sampler tray. 4.8%. Troebel diepgouden kleur, witte kraag. Banaan, peer, vrij zoet, iets van frisse tarwe, mwah was hier niet kapot van. Lichte body.

Tap at the brewpub. Hazy dark golden body, thick off-white head. Creamy, bit spicy aroma. Lean, dry taste, hoppy-herbal, spicy, light berry notes, okay, unusual.

Swing top bottle. Blonde. Banana and citrus in both aroma and flavor. Milky, yeasty notes. Great thirst quencher. Earlier Rating as Friedel Schnaid Hefeweizen. Total Score: 3.4. Golden color, cloudy, foamy head that lasts. Honeyaroma. Banana flavor with sweet citrus, pineapple. Somewhat yeasty, just a bit milky. Honey. Easy drinker and thirst quencher. Good quality hefeweizen.

On tap at Kreuzberg Keller, Hallerndorf. Cloudy orange gold thick cream head. Banana esters on aroma, simple hefe, some cereal maltiness, some hop on end. Bit too perfumed for me.

10/8/8/8/(9)/8

Hazy golden amber color. Huge froth white head. Burnt caramel notes seem to be in a lot of this breweries beers, and this beer is no exception. Very estry nose, like a burnt caramel cake. The body is superbly balanced. Spicy cinammon raisin notes pop up and tempt you to dig deeper into this beer. Bananas and cloves play for your attention in the background. Finish is fairly short and dry. Can these guys make anything not great?

@ Kreuzberg. Cloudy orange-tan with a thick head. Yeasty, footy (pedio) nose. The palate, however, is dry, hoppy and a little yeasty. Finishes with a dry, wheaty coda. Very well-balanced.
