Tap at the Evening Star, Brighton 03/08/2023 Vibrant light fruity aroma and taste with some grapefruit and pineapple notes, pine, sweet malty backing, light bitter hoppy close. Nice one.

440ml can. Poured a hazy yellow golden colour with a short-lived, frothy white head. The aroma is grainy malt and citrus fruits. The flavour is moderate bitter and sweet, with a freshly crisp, malt, light juicy lemon citrus, light pepper spice, light floral woody hop bitter palate. Medium to light bodied with average carbonation.

Taste is sweetish, malt, grain, with juicy fruit, lemony citrus, grapefruit, and floral hop bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, drying hoppy bitter finish. Nicely drinkable.

Keg @ Tap and Can. Hazy yellow pour, good white head. Cracking haze this. Nice tropical fruit notes, fairly light bodied with crisp citrus presenting itself. Nicely refreshing and drinkable.

Keg at the Cock T. Hazy yellow gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is airy and semi dry, good fine carbonation. Thin malts but reasonably sweet. Crisp pine hop frontage underpinned by a light savoury skunk. Fairly bright if thin citric hop, whispers of tropical and candy fruits. Semi dry crisp finish. Gets a lot done this little IPA, quite impressive flavour wise but does feel thin.

Can at home in Hackney - picked up from All Good Beer. Watching Rio Bravo. Pours mostly clear gold with a frothy, pure white head. Lightly sweet, pretty clean, nice pithy lemon and grapefruit, mellow bitterness, crisp pale malts. Light bodied with fine to average carbonation. Nicely balanced finish, more pithy lemon and grapefruit, very slight minerality. Super drinkable.
