On the label it states that PIM, chief of Moersleutel, and fourth of the six anniversary beers, holds 50 grams of cocoa per liter. But that was a wrong calculation. It’s actually 62 grams of cocoa per liter!
Don’t be mistaken. This is not your ordinary “loads of milk chocolate” stout. This cocoa is of a beautiful quality, which invites you to discover all kinds of delicate flavors. A subtle layering of red fruits, some caramel and maybe a bit of honey. No extra adjuncts, just good cocoa. With a beautiful dark bitter to balance it all out.

Can at work. Jet black pour, brown head. So this is a liquid chocolate bar, with notes of smoke, molasses, dark fruits, earth, and spicy, chili-like touches. It’s on the sweeter side, but not cloyingly so, the body is big, creamy. Noice.

(Draught at Arendsnest, Amsterdam, 28 Aug 2022) Black colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of dark chocolate, sweet liquorice and black bread. Malty, roasted, sweet taste with dark chocolate, liquorice, black bread, sweet espresso and a balanced cacao bitterness in the finish. Full body, quite sweet. Really rich and tasty with a generous chocolate character. Quite well rounded and balanced for its strength. Great beer!

Can sample at a tasting at Amit A's place. Black, thick. Chocolate, some alcohol, a bit of dark fruits, sweet, sourish note, some alcohol bitterness, full-bodied.

Can at home. Black with beige head. Loads of dark chocolate, cocoa powder, sweet liquource. Mostly cocoa and chocolate altogether. Dry finish.

44cl can. A almost black beer with a tan head. Aroma of intense chocolate, cocoa, dark malt. Taste of heavy cocoa, chocolate, sweet strong dark malt, intense dry cocoa in the finish.

Draught @ Erlings. Pours black with a small brown head. Aroma of roasted malt caramel rich dark chocolate, hint of chili? Flavor is sweet, light spicy, roast malt,, caramel, rich chocolate, cocoa, light alcohol. Full body, oily mouthfeel, soft to average average carbonation, sweet finish with light warming alcohol. 180822

Op tap bij The Scrapyard. Zwarte kleur, dunne bruine kraag. Koffie en pure chocolade, gebrande mout, gesmolten chocolade, bitterzoete finish. Volle body. Lekker, maar mist wat diepgang.
