Kirta has a special meaning in Bavaria and is traditionally celebrated with good food, music and a strong beer. Our Kirta beer is brewed using the classic decoction process, in which parts of the malt grist are boiled and then added to the main brew – this ensures a strong, full-bodied flavour. (Bottled in week 37)
It is then stored in cool tanks for 7 weeks so that the malty sweetness and the fine hop bitterness are perfectly balanced. A harmonious beer that combines tradition and craftsmanship – ideal for Kirta time.

This is Fine. Fairly crisp, decent maltiness, bit of hop, a touch of zest. A bit underwhelming though.

Quite dark, copper colour. White foam, fell quickly. Malt, cookies, caramel, light grain and biscuits. In the background grass and wet straw. Slightly oily with low carbonation. Quite OK but not outstanding.

Bottle from the Lidl Oktoberfest set. It pours clear deep gold with a decent white head. The aroma is toasty grain, cereal, nuttiness, peanut brittle, digestive biscuit, earth, leafy and herbal accents. The taste is crisp, dry, snappy, bitter - sweet, biscuit, pie crust, leafy, grass, slightly herbal, touch of spice, toasty grains, cereal and nuttiness with a drying finish. Medium body and moderate, foamy carbonation. Quite an interesting offering. Good depth.

Bottle at home. Clear golden color, medium sized white head. Aroma and flavor are malts, hayish bitter with a slight sweet touch, pleasant lingering bitter finish. I like it. Easy drinkable, nice refreshing beer.

50cl Fles van LIDL. Helder goudgele kleur, witte kraag. Licht moutig, zacht, redelijk zoet, honing, licht grassig, licht bitter. Lichte body. Weinig aanstootgevend maar ook heel weinig spannend. Degelijk.

Bottle from Lidl in Uxbridge. An amber coloured pour with a thinnish white head on top. Sweetish, bready, malty, caramel taste and aroma. It's decent enough for a German Marzen.
