Sweet, sticky and ripe fruits are the distinctive aromas and flavors of the Wheat Wine. By maturing it in Bourbon barrels, it gets, in addition to the obvious bourbon notes, the aromas of vanilla and wood. This, together with a minimal fresh acidity in the aftertaste, provides a unique taste sensation.

I have a 330 ml bottle, my first De Molen wheat wine I am sure. Tilting into a globe glass the appearance is a dark cinnamon brown liquid with a spare cover of silver-tan foam. The scent is dominated by the bourbon, a good start, and followed by grain and ripe dark fruit. The taste complements the nose with ripe plums, caramel, toasted bread, hard candy, a hint of the barrel and meadow. Decently all right.

Aus der Flasche (bbe 03.12.2026) im 2023-10 getrunken. Spannend war das das kupferfarbende Wheat Wine eine feine Säure mit einer Frucht wie ein Flämisch Red ähnlich wie Balsamico Essig hatte, die dieses Schwergewicht gefährlich süffig gemacht hat.

Op tap bij Borefts '22. Amber kleur, vuilwitte kraag. Zoet, vanille, rozijntjes, appels, sinaasappel, smakelijk maar vrij dun en behoorlijk zoet. Medium body.

On tap at Borefts. Pours a mahogany color with full head. Aromas of muted orange, bready malts, soft bourbon and caramel. Flavors follow same with candied orange and bready malt. Sticky. Very nice

Clear amber orange beer, small creamy white head, little stable, a bit adhesive. Aroma: lots and lots of alcohol up front, pretty oxidized, caramel, heavy smell. MF: ok carbon, medium to full body. Taste: lots of alcohol, sourish, fruity, oranges, juicy, lots of alcohol, a bit too much. Aftertaste: lots of alcohol again, sourish impression, just a little fruity, alcohol, ok but not very good either.

Tap. Unclear orange-amber color with white head. Aroma is vanilla, caramel, wheat wine stuff, raisin juice. Taste is the same, thick and sweet, but somehow not too much. Thick oily mouthfeel, low carbonation. Good!
