Bottle at home in Hackney - sourced from HOTM. Pours clear honey-gold with a small, foamy white head. Light to medium sweet flavour with notes of lightly toasted malts, honey, biscuits, nips of caramel, bread. Medium bodied with fine, massaging carbonation. Ample bready malts in the finish, further lightly toasted malts, caramel accents. Really tasty stuff. Drinks rather well for the ABV.

On tap at the Brauhaus in Giesing. Hazy medium amber, small head, moderate carb, nice full flavor and good balance of caramel and citrus+earthy bitterness. Very tasty Festbier!

500 ml. Looks quite nice: golden, clear, lush snow-white foam. Aroma: sort of like light malt and biscuits, cellar, a little sweetness and spice, a little floral-spicy hops. Taste: malty, cookies and a little candy, a little sweetness, a good and round body, mild bitter finish, good balanced.

0.5l bottle. Crystal clear amber, white head. Aroma of bready malts, caramel. Taste is sweet, bready malts, caramel, grassy hop, very slight metallic note in the finish, not much bitterness at all. It's alright.

Bottle from Appellation Wines. Appearance - golden and clear with a short lived white head. Nose - bread and toffee, a hint of citrus. Taste - bread and toffee again, some nougat or general hazelnut lurking at the back. Palate - light to medium bodied, rich texture, fairly dry finish. Overall - not bad.

Bottle at home picked up from HOTM. A clear mid gold coloured pour with a fine white head that fades. Aroma is nutty cereal , grassy hop, light metalic, wet grass, rustic grains, Flavour is composed of nutty toasted cereal grains, grassy hop , spicy, wet grass, little worty, grass. Palate is semi sweet, chalky, fine carbonation. Not a huge amount to it.

Flascherl (Danke, Jonas!): Clear, deep golden, creamy and lacy head, that slowly collapses, moderate sweet honeyish-malty nose, herbal hops underneath; robust sweet-bitter flavour, medium bodied, quite soft; sweet malty finish with distinctive herbal-bitter counterpart in the aftertaste. A goody…

Bottle. Clear Amber, white cream. Honeryish malty nose. Medium full chewy body. Juicy malt, pleasant sweetness, light spice, good flowery and grassy hop counterpoint which stays in the nose a bit. Understated, moreish.
