As the fields yield their bounty and the leaves turn to autumn, a crisp dry Märzen lets us reminisce the warm summer sun. A rich malt-forward body brings biscuit, caramel and bread to sustain us into the cooler months. Celebrate Oktoberfest and the changing of the seasons with a glass of hearty Harvest Bier. Prost!

440ml can from Fuss Club as part of a delivery and drunk at home.Light amber, mostly clear, with a small swirl of off-white head. Malty aroma, some slightly spiced orange, some wood. Taste is sweet, again some oranges, sweet spicy malt, maybe the hintiest hint of smoke. Some light bitterness closes it our. Medium body and carbonation. A wonderful beer for the style.

Can. Drove Orchards. Them Norwegian geezers get on my tits. Faint haze on a deep gold. Slim clingy white foam. Sweet and sour grain. Super ripe fruity esters. Bit of dunked biscuit. Taste is semi sweet with a punchy herbal bitterness. Smooth and clean. Bitter finish. A tad more bitter than you might expect, but overall it’s a well decent beer.

Draught at Grumpy Goat, kindly shared by Finn. Creaamy white head, spotty lacing, clear amber-brownish body. Inviting smell of bread-like malts and noble hops. Quite similar taste of noble-herbal hops and mid-sweet malts. Rounded ending, malt-fruity. Drinks very well. Decent. (Reading, 01.10.2023).
