Aged 1,5 years on American oak with a heavy degree of char, gives this stout a blend of brown sugar, butterscotch & Graham cracker with balanced sweetness.
The ABV is 15% making this a beast of a beer, however subtle enough flavors allow them to develop as the temperature changes. Basically, we have a bourbon Crème Brûlée with umami note on the end.

Svart med ett litet skum. Doft av Bourbon, kola och rostad malt. Sötklibbig smak av Bourbon, lönnsirap, kola och värmande alkohol. God, men flaskan var onödigt stor (75 cl).

750ml bottle. Heavy, sweet and sugary with some chocolate sauce, bourbony barrel notes, wood, oak and vanilla. Intense and sweet.

Bottle shared by Joen. Opaque black color, average sized light brown colored head that diminishes quickly. Aroma and flavor are malts, sweetish malts, light raisins, bourbon, liquor, soft roast. Quite nice.
Sampled @ Billie's Craft Beer Fest 2022, Friday Session. A black beer with a beige lacing. Aroma and Taste of intense bourbon, dark malt, chocolate, caramel, raisins, boozy.

Tap at Billies 2022, Antwerpen. Color is very dark brown with small slightly brownish head. Aromas and flavors: Whiskey, some chocolate and roasted malts.

Clear dark brown to black beer, small creamy beige head, little stable, a bit adhesive. Aroma: nice, good roast, malty, lots of cocoa , dark chocolate, a bit smoky, some coconut. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: pretty sweet start, caramel, gentle roast, alcohol, very intense. Aftertaste: sweet and sugary, a bit oxidized, some soy sauce, caramel, alcohol, thick nice roast, a little bitter in the finish.

Brune foncée/noire massif, col beige blanc-cassé.
Arôme est bien boozy, bon biscuité, caramel, chocolaté avec ce côté très US de tout gros RIS. Le côté Bourbon perce en rétro et vient apporte de fines notes de vanille avec un effet réchauffant de quasi Angel's Share.
Palais est épais et collant aux lèvres - monstre à 15% qui reste bien buvable avec modération et se laisse déguster des heures. Caractère toasté, biscuité, dark sugar et pas mal de booze avec un excellent fini vanillé.
Tout comme Amager, Lervig déçoit rarement - exécution, maîtrise pas de chipotages comme de nombreuses autres brasseries pour avec des bières moyennes.

A small sample from 750 ml bottle, at Cardinal, Stavanger. Black colour. Distinct notes of oak and whiskey in aroma and flavour. Warming mouthfeel. Very sweet, but there is still a kind of balance here. A real treat - but the big bottle is for sharing!

Black, small tan head. Atoma of dark fruits, chocolate. Taste of honey, melassis, dried dark fruits, prunes, figs.
