A deep dark stout with no head. In aroma, sweet fruity chocolate malt with dark fruits, alcohol warmth, light apples, light wooden barrel notes, very nice. In mouth, a nice sweet chocolate malt with dark fruits, light apple jam, alcohol warmth, light bourbon barrel notes, pleasant. On tap at L'autre oeil.

330ml bottle. Jet black colour with minimally late awakening, very small, frothy to creamy, fading, tan head. Roasty, chocolately, dark malty and minimally biscuity as well as minimally spicy aroma, notes of dark chocolate, roast, dark caramel, a touch of cinnamon, weak fruity overtones with a touch of red apple, baked apple. Taste is sweet-ish, caramel malty, chocolately and slightly roasty, dark malty, slightly spicy, minimally fruity and alcoholic, notes of dark caramel, some cinnamon, baked apple, a touch of red apple; minimally warming, alcoholic finish.
Slightly creamy, oily texture, smooth and soft, minimally cloying palate, fine, soft carbonation.
Not overly aromatic, restrained, not overly explicit and quite amalgamated flavours, a tad to boozy - not that exciting.

Bottle. A good stout as always from Pohjala, but not one of the best cellar series beers. I get lots of cinnamon, but not as much apple as expected. Still very nice and drinkable for the abv.

The eighteenth one of 22 beers for our 12th wedding anniversary. Orchída's.
Bottle 0.33l, two and half years aged. Black, opaque. AROMA- dark chocolate bonbons, pleasant alcohol, apple in rum, cinnamon on background. FLAVOR- moderately sweet, moderately bitter, a bit warming, dark chocolate pralines full of liquor with apple in rum in the middle. Full bodied.
Really good.

330mL bottle. Pours black with a thin beige head. Apples, cinnamon, and cognac barrels on the nose. Flavour has a lot more cognac up front, some sugary apples, cinnamon. Pretty well-integrated with nice cognac barrels. Nicely done pastry beer.

From a 330ml bottle on 18/5/2024. Pours the deepest brown with pretty much no head. Smells of dark chocolate with some raisins and apple in the mix. Also tastes of chocolate, raisins with a bit of tangy apple along with some date. Quite sweet with a very light roasty but boozy finish featuring some soy. Not masses of body for the size, with and oily mouthfeel and modest carbonation. A very enjoyable sipper that perhaps sips a touch too easily! Very nice.

Med brown, no head. Kind of a raw apple brandy aroma with minimal stout. On the palate it'�s nutty with dark malt and a bit of apple. Thinnish though for the size.

Draught @ Fairbar. Pours black with a small brown head. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate, licorice, light spice, cinnamon. Flavor is sweet, roast malt, chocolate, sweet licorice, little fruit, light cinnoman, brandy, alcohol. Medium body, average carbonation, sweet finish with warming alcohol. 070324
