Bottle. Ringstead Stores, north Norfolk. Clear gold malt forward pale with some peppery bitterness and a fair bit of butter. Prickly and a bit thin. Very Norfolk esque pale.

Cask at GBBF '22 day 2, 03/08/22. Golden blonde with a moderate white cap. Nose is pale malts, grass, grains, straw, dusty fruits. Taste comprises pale malts, hedgerow, lemon tinged straw, crackers, grains. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, light drying close. Passable pale ... doesn't offer much.

From cask at the GBBF with Holmen1 and Stephen 03.08.22. Translucent straw colour. White head. Aroma and taste of biscuits, grains, pale malt, resins, and old tropical fruits. Waterish mouthfeel. Not great.

Bottle from Beers Of Europe. Appearance - golden yellow. The head disappeared quickly. Nose - caramel and honey. Taste - more like toffee and honey this time. Palate - creamy and light to medium bodied. The finish is very cloying. Overall - too sweet for the style.

14/8/2020. Bottle from Roy’s of Wroxham Food Hall. Pours clear pale gold with a small white head. Aroma is buttery, caramel, digestive biscuit, flowers. Medium plus sweetness and moderate bitterness. Moderate body, oily and watery texture, above average carbonation. Increasing bitterness to finish as the butter sweetness subsided. Not today’s highlight.
