GYG 190324. Chestnut color with no head. Aroma is alcohol, dried fruit, caramel. Flavor is alcohol, dried fruit, caramel, berries, oak, bourbon, vanilla. Powerful beer.

Bottle, at Patricks. It pours a still deep chestnut colored body, headless too. Ripe aroma of cellar, dark dried fruit, cigar, caramel and some dark berries. Quite vinous, but not alcoholic. It's sweet and full-bodied, still and pleasantly warming, with a tannin touch. Complex and delicious flavor too, dark dried fruit and caramel in the driver's seat, with coffee, alcohol, vinous notes, wood and cigar. A touch of bourbon-ish vanilla show up too. Lasting finish. A delicious one indeed, even though it's pretty fresh. Feeling quite barley wine-ish this one, but there's a bock-ish touch too. 221202

Bottle. Clear, mahogany body with no head. Aroma of dark roasted malt, dry fruit, oak, vanilla, caramel and alcohol. Taste is super sweet, dark, roasted malt, caramel, dry fruit, oak, vanilla and boozy alcohol in some kind od mild, warming way. Full bodied with long lasting aftertaste ending a bit boozy. Slightly raw, but way more smooth than tasted first time in November (this one in February). Nice sipper.

8-4-7-4-15 Bottle, #22 243, first release, 2022, 5,5 years before bbd. Pours very dark, opaque maroon, with a small creamy head. Aroma is dark roasted malts with rye bread, liquorice and fruity notes of pr and raisins, as well as leather, heather and wooden barrels. Full body, with soft carbonation. Flavour is dark roasted malts with rye bread, liquorice, honey and fruity notes of raisins and prunes, as well as vanilla, tannins and wooden barrels.

330 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet Egersund. ABV is 15.5%. Black colour, no head, minimal carbonation. Aroma of roast malts, molasses, bourbon and oak. Flavour of the same elements, also dark dried fruits. Warming mouthfeel. A bit more carbonation would help a lot.

Luke 7 viste seg plutselig å være innholdsrik på denne hjemme alene-kvelden med øl og høy musikk! Nå en 0,33 flaske fra Santa's Store i Verksgata: brunsvart med svært kort skum. Vanilje, kaffe, svisker og dadler sier bruksanvisningen på etiketten, og det er ikke vanskelig å gi dette sin tilslutning, samtidig som jeg tilføyer rosiner og sviskeplommer. Viskøs munnfølelse og med deilig maltsmak og mørke sjokoladekarameller i avslutningen, som også har en balanserende bitterhet. Et kognitivt støttehjul for meg som er så glad i forskjellige bock-stilene.
