Return of the iconic Oregon Trail in DIPA form! This West Coast DIPA features Simcoe, Chinook and Columbus hops. It's resinous and piney with citrus undertones. A balanced bitterness works well with the caramel flavours from the malts.

Keg draught at the Needle & Pin, Loughborough. Mid/dark orangeish gold, hazy with a thin white ring of head and a fair bit of lacing. Big resinous pine in the aroma, heady overrpue citrus. Bitter taste with a shedload of hop oil coming at you from every angle and a super bitter back-of-tge-tongue finish. More intense pine in the aftertaste. Like IPAs used to be. But more so. A motherfucker of a beer.

Can picked up from Elusive online shop, had this at Isobel's, Spond, Kington, Herefordshire Tuesday 2nd May 2022. Pours hazy warm gold with a white head, lovely resinous bitterness, nice soft mouthfeel, streaky sweet orange, furry rasp across the tongue, nice maltiness, excellent beer.

440ml can from Caps and Taps, Kentish Town, London. A hazy golden/orange coloured pour with a medium white head on top. Hoppy, citrus, pine, grapefruit, caramel, some tropical fruit taste and aroma. Pleasant bitterness, pretty decent DIPA but not quite the 'wow' beer that I was expecting from Elusive after all the hype.

Cans from Elusive Brewing’s online shop and Against The Grain. Deep golden body with a slight haze and a tight white head. Steady carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of honey, pine, lemon and grapefruit. Flavour of marmalade, menthol and Lockets with a bitter, hoppy finish. Medium body with a slick mouthfeel. Soft fizz. So well balanced - this drinks as easily as a beer of half the ABV. A very impressive DIPA. It’s somehow bold and subtle at the same time.

Can at home, from the source, 26th March 2022. Pours clear and golden. Aroma is pine, malts, light caramel and resin. Taste is citrus, pine and malty, but bright, pith, bitter and balanced with linger. Fantastic beer from Elusive, probably Andy’s finest West Coast

Can. Beer Central Sheffield. Light haze on a medium gold. Bright white dense foam. Lasting and semi lacing. Nose has caramel. Punchy ripened citrus. Nettle leaf. Some piny notes. Cracknel toffee. Taste is straight off big bitter. Some light astringency. Modicum of sweetness. Pretty well rounded. Plenty of body but smooth with it. Fine carbonation. Dries out as it goes along. Lingering punchy bitterness to finish. Big tasty.
