Hazy orange pour with a huge beige head. Tart, tangy wheat nose. Pungent hops andsome light fruit. Good carb and good mouthfeel. Light pepperiness, but a bitter finish. A very bitter ia like finish. Some more light fruit and a touch of funk. It was pretty bang on or the style util the crazy bitter finsh. Decent. ( my bottle says 8.5%)

Draught @ the brewpub (9 o’clock). Pours hazy lightish amber with airy white head. Clear aroma of malt and hops, with spicy and funky notes. Bitter, hoppy flavour with malty and fruity notes and touches of spice (pepper?) and yeast. Bitter and spicy aftertaste with subtle fruity notes. Warming alcohol presence. Nice. A Saison with balls.

La Saison Haute is an 8.5% saison that pours a crystal clear gold with no head. The nose is that musty funk I associate with the style. It’s got a smooth soft body and a musty, tart, funky taste. A good example of a belgian saison.

Purchased a 750ml bottle of this at my local Métro store. Pours a hazy golden colour with an amber hue. Big bubbly-creamy white head that stays long and gives out beautiful lacing. Alcohol aromas with orange and hints of other citrus fruits. Hints of yeast with some spices. Thankfully, the alcohol is not in the mouth. Kind of a mild mouthfeel, just carbonated. Quite easy to drink actually, with a mild taste. Citrus fruits, spices and the hop giving this a nice bitterness (and dryness). The alcohol does disappear after breathing a bit. A nice one, but I prefered their "La saison basse".
