Black body, with a small, dark beige head.
Dense aroma of blackberry, brandy, soy sauce, cocoa powder, tobacco, dark chocolate. Tastes similar.
Medium mouthfeel, with a moderate carbonation. Finishes quite dry, roasty, moderate sweet, fruity, a bit boozy, with tobacco, cocoa powder, blackberry.
Lovely! Great combination of blackberry and (not too) boozy notes with a dry, robust dark malt backbone. Works really great, not to sweet, really well balanced.

330mL bottle, pours jet black with a small tan head. Aroma is dominated by the blackberry brandy—smelling like blackberries—with plenty of spirit barrels and dark sugars. Flavour is very dry, with tons of dry blackberry brandy, booze, and medium roast. Really like the barrels, but the beer could use a little extra sugar. Very good though.

Black body under a small beige head. Nice, strong aroma of dark malt, dark chocolate, coffee, liquorice and berries. Taste is sweet, super smooth dark roasted malt, coffee, chocolate, vanilla, red berries, nice bitterness and pleasant warming alcohol. Balanced body with long lasting delicious aftertaste. A wonderful threat without any cheap tricks.

Opaque black brown beer with a big tan head. The blackberry brandy punches through the dark malt nose. Airy palate, soft and with reasonable fine carbonation. Airy dark malts, a soft creamy sweetness and mellow chocolate, more milk than dark chocolate. A little Malteasers buried underneath. The blackberry brandy carries on from the nose, obvious and fruity and a little spicy. Finishes light and spicy. Delicious. I wish Surtur beers were more readily available over here. They have an inventive streak with Impies and the end results are rather spiffing!

Bottle. A black one with a small beige head. Roasted malts, licorice, coffee hints and some dark dried fruit in the wrong aroma. It's full bodied and lightly warming on the palate, smooth and very softly carbonated, with roasted malts, dark chocolate and a touch of alcohol and licorice. Some alcohol. Long finish. Nice and dangerously easy drinkable indeed, quite classic in many ways. 230225
