From bottle at Bier XXL, Steenwijk. Aroma is dark malt with caramel, bread, and light noble hop. Mild sweet, light bitter flavour. Medium body. Nice Dunkel.

Appearance: Clear chestnut brown with a one finger tall ivory-coloured head off medium retention. Aroma and taste: Toasted malt, caramel, treacle bread, dried fruits, some nuts. Medium sweet, low bitterness. Mouth feel: Medium body, soft carbonation. Summary: Pretty one-dimensional.

Clear deep brown with a one finger tall off-white frothy head of medium retention. Aroma: bead, treacle, dried fruits. Taste: light swet and bitter. Rich malts, bread, dried fruits, coffee and chocolate, noble hop. Mouth feel: dense body, average carbonation. Overall: good.

500ml bottle. It looks like this is made especially for the Russian market, so it could be a re-badge. Pours clear brown with a tall beige head. Aroma is dried fruits, malt, caramel. Taste is light sweet, dried fruits, toasted malt. Light bitter finish. Light bodied.

Getrunken als „Wieninger Guidobald Export Dunkel“. Farbe: Schwarzer Rubin. Fast klar. Röstig malzig in der Nase und im Mund. Neben süßem, mittelröstigem Malz hat man Noten von schweren, dunklen Trauben. Minimale Nuancen von dunkler Schokolade sind erkennbar, Spuren von Kaffee sind zu erahnen. Auf der süßen Seite angesiedelt, aber kein pappiges Karamalz / Vitamalz. Wunderbar weich, wenig Kohlensäure. Das Bier fühlt sich deutlich schweren an als die tatsächlich vorhanden 5,0 % Alk. und 12,9 % Stammwürze. Bleibt dabei aber trotzdem immer noch hochgradig süffig. Wer auf eher süße, malzbetonte dunkle Biere steht muss das unbedingt mal antesten.

Klare dunkelbraune Farbe mit weißer Schaumkrone. Malziger, leicht röstmalziger Geruch. Geschmacklich malzig, leicht röstmalzig, Karamell, Anklänge an Trockenfrüchte. Mittlere Süße mit leichter Bitterkeit, mittlerer Körper mit spürbarer Kohlensäure.

Dark brown with a frothy to creamy beige head that lingers. Aroma of tootsie roll and plum juice. Taste is syrupy sweet the whole way through. No real bitterness, just burnt toffee and a light, fruity tang at the end. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation. Drinkable.

From bottle at Maibaumstüberl Restaurant/Cafe, Ruhpolding, Southern Bavaria, Saturday 25th January 2020. Pours hazy dark brown with an off white head, soft mouthfeel. Nice dark fruitiness, a little tangy, a little hint of chocolate, good.

Bottle @ Gasthaus Seeklause Ramsau-Hintersee. Brown color. Soft roastaroma. Malty sweetish, roasty bready flavor. Hints of caramel and chocolate. Well balanced.
