Can at the brewery, 12/19/24. Dark. Clear with deep auburn highlights. Large, light tan head slowly fades to cover. Bright mix of wintergreen and pine-like hops with mild chocolate and mild roast. Some caramel underneath. Very clean and polished. Juicy, rich, citrusy and wintergreeny hops on a slightly syrupy-chocolatey body with minimal roast. Big flavors but drying out nicely on the finish with moderate bitterness and lingering chocolate and hop spice. Fresh yeast. Clean. Alchemist still crushing it....

Can, picked up at the brewery. Also on tap at the brewery. Nearly black. Thick tan head stays the course. Nose has light roast coffee bean. Dark, fruity chocolate. Some hard toffee. Charred grapefruit. Taste is more or less perfectly balanced, sweet and charred bitterness. Smooth on the palate. Medium body. Fine carbonation. Lingering charred citrus bitterness to finish. Top tier.

Thanks! Sampled canned @ Billie’s Beer Festival 2018. Day 2. Black. Nose is interesting coffee, quite sweet, low roast & no real bitterness. Taste is coffee grounds, more of a stout / porter than a DIPA, mocha, chocolate, bit sweet, dark malts, faint sweet coffee. Solid stout / porter but not a DIPA which is surprising & this was def fresh, one of the other cans they brought to the festival was 6 days old.
