Can, 0.33 l. Aroma of roasted malt, cocoa, vanilla and mild coffee. Pours almost black color with large soapy brown head and average sparkling appearance. Taste starts with medium sweet roasted malt, caramel and bitter chocolate, follows by coffee and ash, mouthfeel is smooth, while finish is mild to medium bitter. Medium body, oily texture and average carbonation in palate. Impossible is possible…

Can. Black with short lived brown head. Cinnamon and roasted malt aroma. Caramel, roasted malt and cinnamon flavour, quite sweet with just a little bitterness to balance. Finishes with a rather rough alc note and is really to sweet and alcoholic in the long run

11/IV/23 - 33cl can from Geers (Oostakker), shared @ holiday home (France), BB: II/2025, lot: 0068 (2023-320)

Clear dark brown to black beer, aery fizzy irregular beige head, unstable, crackles down quickly, dissipates almost completely, non adhesive. Aroma: lots and lots of chocolate, a sweet impression, caramel notes, a bit of vanilla, hazelnut. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: nice, lots of chocolate up front, some caramel, lactose maybe? A Gentle roast and a little sweet. Aftertaste: slightly sourish, chocolate notes, soft roast, caramel, some vanilla, hazelnut, nice!

Cream-russet head for some seconds, then just red-brown rimmed black beer. Black and sweetened chocolate, cacao, bit speculoos-sweet. Cacao, speculoosherbs (cinnamon, 'white' cardamome, allspice, etc.). Icecream with chocolate, marshmallows and a whiff of coffee. Well bodied to viscous, almost syrupy. Thick, sweet... dubbel? As to stout... well, seems anything can be called stout these days. Txs to Stef!

33cl can, BB 02/2025, batch# 0068. Une collab avec Zyhtologist qui nous habitue avec des sorties parfois assez farfelues et expérimentales - certaines correctes et d'autres à oublier voire parfois frôlant l'amateurisme. Ici, une version brassée dans les nouvelles installations de la coopérative où opère DrinkThatBeer.
Brune foncée, col épais café au lait.
Arôme sur un côté ‘peanut butter’ avec un côté arachide salé voire pistaches le tout sur un rétro-nasal chargé en cacao/chocolat.
Palais est épais malté sur le caramel beurre salé, peanut butter, pistaches, toffee/fudge en léger chocolat/pâte de cacao, douceur vanille et sucre résiduel. Petite note sèche grains en fin de bouche. Amertume aux relents d’agrumes et de léger herbacé/résineux revient en fin de bouche avec une sécheresse persistante au niveau des grains.
