(Cask at Southampton Arms, London, 24 Nov 2022) Golden colour with brief, white head. Fruity, sourish nose with apples, citrus and grass. Fruity, tart taste with notes of apples, citrus, a bit of apple peel harshness and a generous acidity in a dry finish. Medium body, quite dry. Fresh and tasty, with a good acidity. Quite nice.

26/1/2023. BIAB at the 14th Colchester Winter Ale Festival. Pours clear bright golden amber with a small bubbly white head. Aroma of sweet apple, caramel, wood, vanilla, mucky notes developing. Quite sweet, touch tart. Moderate body, slightly watery, soft carbonation. Dry finish. Likeable.

Sample courtesy of Grumbo, cheers Graham! Clear amber gold colour, bubbly white foam head that dissipates away and aroma of apple, fleshy, fruity. Taste is apple, fruity, some skin & core, with light barnyard, funky, leathery, and drying tannins. Medium bodied, low carbonation, dry tannic finish. Nicely drinkable.

On cask at Southampton Arms, piurs a clear gold, no head. Nose has sweet apple juice, a little sulfur, a little buttery. Flavor has apples, some butterscotch, sulfur. Watery, sweet finish. Fine.

Polypin at Merton Winter Beer Festival Feb’ 08 Pours a warm yellow but starting to move towards orange. Apples staright off of the nose, quite clean and slightly unusual in taste, not as sharp or tangy as I expected and the apples whilst quite up front were also being tempered by a soft sweetness which just took away a little something. Quite nice.

Bag in the box cider at Reading BF 06. Cloudy mid gold colour. Nice appley aroma. Sour apple juice in mouth. More my style of cider. Very simple apple juice.
