500ml bottle bought from the Offie, Leicester, and drunk at home. Colour is a muddy brownish gold with a small uneven white head. Metallic aroma, slightly herbal and vegetal. Taste brings sweet caramel notes rising above the herbal flavours. Texture is fine, carbonation is flatter than I expected but it doesn’t affect the drink. Just can’t get into this, it’s so messy.

500 ml bottle. Cloudy amber with a foamy head. Sourdough, grain, malt, straw, bread, citrus. Mild dry bitterness, grainy sweetness, some sourdough sourness. Medium bodied, oily texture, lively carbonated, dry grainy bready bittersweet finish. Pretty decent, even rural Kellerbier, even of Franconian quality.

Bottle. Color: Hazy golden to orange amber, white head. Aroma: Malty. Taste: Malty, grainy, light hopbitterness at background. Light to moderate sweet. Medium body, just below average carbonation. Ok.

Allgäuer Brauhaus zwickel. Bottle at a restaurant outdoors in Allgäu next to some horses. Mild grainy nose, decent head on light cloudy amber. Slightly sweet, barley, touch of acidity, not much bitterness (which is surprising given that hop extract is on the ingredients list). Not bad but nothing special. 6/3/6/3/12

Swing top bottle. Orange blonde color, cloudy. Yeasty aroma with soda and tangerine. Malty soda like flavor with yeasty notes. Disappointing.
