750 ml bottle generously shared by mreusch. Pour is cloudy muddy brown orange with a three inch tan head. Head falls with limited lacing. Nice in the glass. Aroma is soft cherries, bourbon barrel woodiness and residual alcohol. Full nose. Taste is acidic sharpness initially, not a fruit sourness, really, hard to explain. Metallic cherry is not it, but close. It is relatively soft, though, and has a nice smooth palate. Midway through the slick malt and bourbon barrel kick in. The flavors shift a lot in this one, sour is always up front, but beyond that taste jumps around between bourbon, malt, alcohol, etc. The alcohol is present, though decently integrated. Distinctive brew. Thanks for sharing this rarity Matt!

(Bottle 75 cl) Courtesy of WeeHeavySD. Pours a very cloudy amber golden with a dense and creamy beige head that leaves a pretty lacework. Tart and fruity Brettish nose. Medium body, light berry-like notes, lots of wood and an astringent sourish finish. A very sophisticated brew indeed. 190608

Bottle. Papsoes MadsBerg homecoming blindtasting, bottle #25. Pours hazy deep orange to brown with a slowly collapsing light tan head. Medium dry lacto aroma. Flavour is nicely citric and bitter towards a bit mliky sour. Holds a medium dry caramel malt base that has a distinct citric bitterness lurking through. Dry citric finish. Dry woody into the far finish.

Bottle thanks to Chris Q
Reddish-brown colour with a thick head. Winey, woody nose with roast and lots of dark fruit. Very fizzy but very rich with dark fruits. Almost meaty. Very oaky, vinous and complex. Takes a while to absorb.

Sampled at the Savor DC event. Pours a translucent copper brown with a cloudy, orange head. Aroma is sweet and thick with raisins, honey and rum. Flavor has plenty of Belgian candy, yeast and raisins. Heavy carbonation in the mouth. Well blended, very complex.
