This boozy badboy with a dark brown hue is filled with complex aroma's of figs, plums, karamel, dark and sugar syrup. It has an awesome aftertaste that is both spicy and smooth.

Bottle shared at Hori. Stilusaban teljesen (meglepoen?) rendben van, hozza a szaritottgyumis, kandisos, malatas es eszteres jegyeket, kellemes balanszban. Korrekt.

Can from a local bottle shop. Aroma is brown malts with candy sugar, caramel, dried fruits, spicy yeast, raisins, touch of alcohol. Flavour is medium sweet, body is medium. Decent enough Quad.

Aus der Flasche im 2024-12 getrunken. Dieses Quardrupel kommt mit einer sehr guten Harmonie zwischen Malzigen Körper, leichter Süße und gute eingebunden Alkohol daher. Nicht schlecht!

Quadrupel – this time including the ‘religious’ association stemming from the trappist traditions in which the style originated – from a brewing company in Breda I had never heard of, thanks Hinke for sharing! Medium thick, moussey, beige-ish off-white, breaking and slowly dissolving head on a misty brownish-tinged warm and deep amber-coloured robe. Aroma of caramel candy, solventy effects of varnish and wood glue, nougat, almond paste, sweet sherry, dried peaches, apricot jam, armagnac, marmalade. Sweet onset yet not sticky, candied peach and fig jam notes, red apple too, softish carb with smooth, medium full body; hard-caramelly, slightly nutty and somewhat biscuity, slick and bit resinous maltiness, mild floral hop bitterness in the end, some of those solventy effects returning and finally heating bourbon- to brandy-like alcohol with peppery effects. Overly solventy, lacking a bit in body and a tad too boozy: a quadrupel, like its inventors the trappist monks, should show more contemplation and restraint. Does show some promise, though.

Can from local AH XL supermarket. Color: Hazy amber, beige head. Aroma: Malty, caramel. Disappointing, not much going on. Taste: Malty, some caramel, hints of figs, sugar syrup. Hoppy backbone. Lightly boozy finish. Just over medium body, just below average carbonation. Slightly sticky. Over moderate sweet and bitter. By far not a liquid dessert. Expected more from this beer.

33 cl. can @ home, bought @ Plus Culemborg. Clear reddish brown with a beige head. Spicy dark caramel aroma with some red fruit. Sweet taste with a slightly cloying sweet boozy finish. Solid quadrupel.

A mild to medium haze on this deep reddish amber beer, small tan head. Palate is airy and mildly dry, decent fine minerally carbonation. Light malts but delivering a decent creamy sweetness with a nice light sweet creamy toffee well integrated. Vibrant sweet fruits, an almost candy like cherry with some back up of sweet prune and a trace of marmalade. Quite a light and crisp from finish. Hmm, a pastry Quad? Dunno! Like it though, certainly off the beaten Quad path without ever wandering any other style. Nice job.

Bottle at home shared with Laura. Red brown color, small off-white head. Smell and taste are malts, soft raisin notes, distant hints of sweet apple strangely enough or at least that's what it reminds me of. Odd. Not necessarily bad but odd nonetheless.
