From Badgerben. Moderate hops and malt, almost a west coast barleywine. Some fruit and sugar, fructose, peach. Sweet malt and very low carbonation. The high abv is well hidden, and it is not present in the aroma or the flavor.

Bottle courtesy of Kryptic: Poured a deep orangey color ale with medium size foamy head with good retention and some nice lacing. Aroma of fresh grapefruit is totally incredible with some bitter notes also noticeable. Taste is also dominated by some fresh grapefruit with a nice mix between some more bitter and floral hops and a decent malt base. Body is full with some good carbonation and no apparent alcohol. The fresh grapefruit aroma and taste was quite spectacular and definitely something that I wouldn’t mind drinking on a regular basis.

Bottle: Orange copper color with a smaller beige head. Aroma is sweet and fruity with bright citrus hops ans a little caramel. Flavor is subdued on the citrus hops with plenty of sweet caramel malts and bits of florals. Still crisp and hoppy, yet a bit relaxed like a bw. Nice brew. Thanks to hopdog for sending this in trade.

Bottle, 22oz. Pours an almost clear, golden body with an off-white head. Heavy aroma with malt and beefstock, pine, resin and some citrus. The flavor is sure hoppy, with pine, resin and some citrus, as well as a good maltyness. I could wish for a more evident maltyness though. Full body. Even though I would like some more malty flavor, it’s a really good one. Really good. (080118)

650 ml bottle. Orange/amber body with a thin off-white head. Aroma is sweet malt dominated by citrus and peaches. Flavor is sweet and bitter, malty and I actually find it a bit unbalanced. Almost like the brewer had problems to decide if this should be a IPA or not. Sorry, noting against a hop bomb, but this is to undefined.

Clear orange/amber with a small fleeting off-white head. Big juicy malt with lots of citrusy hops in tig and bitter with an underlying malt sweetness. Reminiscent of Arrogant Bastard with a bit more finesse.

bottle - Wow, 10.5%? I wouldn’t have guessed it. That explains why I felt it more than I thought I would. This beer pours hazy orange with a thin head. It has a wonderful hops aroma with floral and citrus notes and just a hint of pine. The flavor is intensely hoppy. We’re in double IPA territory with this one. The hops are crisp, citrusy, and very enjoyable. There’s some caramel malt in the background. It has a long, bitter finish, again like a double IPA. While it could have a little better balance, this beer is still great. The price point is pretty damn high though.
