Bottle, RBESG08 grand tasting. Black body. Malty, chocolatey aroma. Nice. Full chocolate taste with an assault of chili near the end. Quite tasty! Never thought I’d not mind a chili beer.

RBESG08 grand tasting. Black beer, clearly some chili on the end, like a chili impy stout. Surprisingly high score considering my adversity to have chili in a beer.

Bottled. Black colour, small brown head. Aroma is roasted malts, chocolate, some slight spices. Flavour is big chocolate with some mild coffee notes and also roasted malts. The chili gives a nice small burning feeling in the finish.

Draught at ÅBF08. Good, sweet, roasted aroma. Black colour, very small light brown head. Good roasted flavour. The chili is unnoticeable to begin with, but builds up to a nice and mild level.

Bottle, courtesy of enjoyit. It pours a next to black body with a beige to tan head. Chocolate, burnt malt and coffee in the aroma, nice, but not as good as the flavor. In the mouth it’s full-bodied and warming, the heat coming from the chili, not alcohol. There’s flavor of chocolate, burnt malt and coffee up front, before the chili sneaks up from below and lifts the beer to a higher level. The chili lasts for a good while, and has company by burnt malt and chocolate. A lovely beer proving that chili and chocolate can be a nice blend in beer as well. (080412)

Draught at Ølfestival 2008, Århus
Black color; creamy head. Some aroma of roasted malt and cardboard. Good body strength, the mouthfeel is a bit rough; in the beginning the dark chocolate flavor leads; later, the mouthfeel dries up a bit and the chili gently warms the mouth. Special, but well brewed.

Tap @ Aarhus beerfestival 2008. Dark color, huge creamy head. Aroma of roasted malt, hint of pepper, slight coffee. taste of coffee and rye, bit dry. Bit spicy finish. Usually when brewers try to add some chili, they overdo it very easily. But this beer has found the perfect balance between the pepper and the chocolat. Hats off.

Bottle @ Thisted Tasting by Maria.. Dark black color with a average to large, frothy - creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, chocolate, notes of chilli. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a long duration, and a very nice spicey - chilli touch. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. Very nice ;o)) (120408)

Bottle. Nice tan head with good duration. Color is black. Aroma and taste are roat malt, chocolate and notes of coffee and chili. Chili is quite balanced serving to prolong the bitter chocolate finish.
