Black color with a thin off-white heasd. Mild roasted malt aroma with hints of astringent. Flavor of raspberry but noticably astringent.

Bottle Pours a dark black with a moderate tan head and nice Aroma was of the classic dark roasted, old campfire notes and the raspberry came through a bit mediciney. Robitussin if I am not mistaken. Somewhat of the last part of a tootsie pop that you crunch through and get to the toosie roll center. Flavor was similar, even less of the ras flavor than the aroma had. Easy on the hops and a fairly thin feel. Moderate carbonation. I keep thinking Im going to like this combination of fruit and stout, but I am regularly somewhat dissapointed in them. Thanks to Kramer1781 for this one

12oz bottle-pours with no head and black color. Taste is sweet, malty, licorice. Not my taste.

Bottle. Fruity aroma. Raspberry, I guess, but it does not do much for me. The flavour has a hint of berries and a little coffee. High carbonation.

Bottle: Poured a very dark stout –looking beer with an off-white head with little retention. Aroma is a balance mix between some lightly roasted malt and some raspberry. Taste is quiet interesting and I was very surprised as I originally though this mix wouldn’t be all that great. Roasted malt are mix with some lightly sweet raspberry and it all end with subtle sour notes. Good but wouldn’t go for more then one bottle once in while.

Opaque balcj in color, this really made no head other than a deep mocha ring. Aroma is restrained raspberry. The flavor starts sharply bitter, then the sweetness comes on. The raspberry flavor is not at all dominant and adds a complexity to the flavor rather than being a major player. A bit of chocolate, but no strong flavor components occur in this beer, just a play among all of the elements. Magic Hat Feast of Fools does this much better.

An opaque black beer with a huge brown head. The aroma is powerful of coffee and chocolate, while the flavor is of roasted malt, raspberries, coffee, and chocolate, but the body is thin.

Bottled. Part of my great trade with DocLock. Opens with a big scent of chocolate raspberries and alcohol. Pours a good sized brown stout head over an opaque, deep brown body. Chocolate and raspberries are in the taste too, along with a dryness that’s part stout and part red wine. Midway through, some more roast coffee stout notes come through, then a rather rough English hop profile. A great with desert, or as desert in itself.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured thick, black and oily with a medium sized brown head that was mildly creamy. There is a sweet and hoppy aroma but really no fruit on the scent. The flavor is malty with some brown sugar and vague sweet fruit. Slightly tangy on the finish. Certainly a pleasant beer, but it always leaves me wanting for more fruit flavor. The mouthfeel is moderately thick. A smokiness come in as the beer warms.

Deep black, with a ring of rubious red along the seam. Thick and heavy, with lots of raspberry in there... though a bit lighter than other imperial stouts I have had. Might be a good intro to imperials for people who usually don’t drink such big beers.
