2006 bottle. pours dark brown with reddish hue, off white head. Aroma lots of dark fruits, and candi sugar, caramel malts. Taste, well rounded beer, aged very well, lots of dark fruits goodness, cherries, prunes, candi sugar, and malts. Smooth to the palate, easy to drink, not too boozy.

750 mL bottle from Bruisin’ Ales in Asheville. Production date November 30, 2006. Pours a hazy brownish red color with a medium head. Good head retention and lacing. Aroma of brown sugar, butterscotch, bread and light berry-like fruit notes. Taste is brown sugar, caramel, dark fruits, berries, butterscotch, vanilla, yeast. Also a fairly significant hop kick. Smooth, creamy, full bodied. Carbonation is fairly assertive.

Bottle courtesy of Secret Santa: Poured a deep amber color ale with a pale light brown foamy head with good retention and great lacing. Taste is a mix between some sweet Belgian style malt with a spicy peppery yeast and some light dry fruits notes. Taste is also a dominated by the mix between some Belgian sweet malt with light candi sugar and a spicy yeasty finish. Body is full with perfect carbonation and no apparent alcohol. Well done and definitely better then expected.

bottle 75cl all by myself heh heh , found in ølbutikken (bbf 2012) ap:pours dark brown, some floaties, small yellow/lighty brown head. strong fruity, raisins , dark fruits aroma, some alc or rather oomph power to it. butter-roasted white bread. palate is too bubbly for me, bubble-up-in-my-mouth-feeling. [after waiting 10mins palate got real good] flavor is good. caramel, sweet dark fruits, candi sugar. ends in some kind of alc and spices bitterness that also isn’t THAT good. After i let it warm up and settle a white, it got loads better. don’t serve below 12celcius. you’ll need a well tempered bottle to do a fair rating.

750 ml bottle. Brown body with a dense off-white head. Complex aroma of sweet malt, caramel, brown sugar, spices and alcohol. Flavor is sweet, light roasted malt, caramel, dry fruit, some alcohol and a hint of cellar notes. Full bodied and extremely well balanced. Actually the balance is so perfect that it’s difficult to sense the flavors after the first sips. Then just getting better and more flavorful for each sip.

Bottle. Caramel-brown beer with a big tan head. Caramel, yeasty aroma with fig and raisin. Fig, raisin, date flavor with yeast and rich malt. Medium-plus bodied. Rich yeasty, stone fruit, and malt lingers. Nice complexity - some darker malts present. Very good.

Bottle, 8.5%. Malty and sweet aroma. Cloudy dark red and brown aroma. Lost of floaties. Small tan head. Good malty flavour, lots of dried fruits. Gets a little yeasty as it warms. Very well-balanced. Good alcohol level to match the maltiness.

Lasting mocha head under a ruby tinged brown body. Malty spicy aroma. Sweet malt palate with perhaps some ginger-like spice. Smooth, full-bodied.

750 ml. bottle from Liquid Solutions. Teddish tinged amber color with a tan head. Rich medium dark fruit (date?) aromas over roasted malt. Medium plus body with creamy carbonation. Flavor is a mix of dates, raisins and lighter stone fruits. Drys out in the finish, showing a somewhat bitter aspect. Really mellow. Really real.
