Bottle at home with Lyoli in London. Pours a clear, rich ruby with a soft, foamy, off-white head. Sugary malt aroma, with a healthy dose of ripe fruits and subtle alcohol. Sweet flavor, has a nice caramel character, some grape and raisin, bit of cake and rich bread, slight herbal character, some brown sugar. Medium bodied with average to lively carbonation. Fairly warming finish, more ripe fruit sugars, toffee and caramel, slight grass, sweet bread. Solid beer.

Bottle: Almost clear, chestnut-amber coloured, smaller creamy off-white head; raisins, butterscotch, nuts, caramel and exotic fruits in the nose, a trace of brandy detectable; solid sweet-bitter flavour, full bodied; lingering - first fruity and nutty, later drying out hoppily - finish. Very fine stuff.......

(bottle, # 1059046) Slightly unclear, dark amber colour with a short, slightly tanned foamy head. Sweet and hearty cara-malty aroma with notes of biscuits, plum pudding, raisins, citrus and a tinge of Brandy. Sweet and slightly bitter flavour, medium to full bodied with a calm carbonation. Rich malt-character with caramel, butterscotch, nutty notes and liquorice; late arriving fruity and slightly woody hops towards the lingering and warming finish. Very complex and pleasant. 06.IV.11

Lovely orange-accented mahogany colour. The aroma is fruity (grape, plum) with caramel and wood accents. The palate is rich, complex caramel and earth with bitter hop notes emerging late with toffeeish stickiness and some subtle, fruity acidity. A tasty fireside ale.

500ml bottle. Pours a dark amber with a nice large head. Aroma is toffee and some dried fruit. Fruity, malty, lots of fruit cake and spice. Full in the mouth, medium bitter finish, hides its strength. A favourite of mine, one I drink semi-regularly, just never got round to rating.

Bottle. Ruby brown pour with a decent off white fluffy head. Fruity, malty aroma. Tastes malty, fruity, hoppy, caramel. Really complex and tasty. Nothing like a Belgian Triple, very English actually. Nice stuff.
