Boon Millésime 2020 is a delicate traditional fruit beer based on Belgian Schaarbeekse cherries and lambic. 270 grams of cherries per litre create an intense, wine-like and elegant cherry aroma. This together with the accessible alcohol content make it an ideal tasting beer for food pairing or as an apéritif. The Boon Millésime was bottled on 19 October 2021 and is refermented in the bottle. Feel free to let the bottle continue to age for a few years. Cheers!

Bottle split at CBJ tasting, picked up from an online peddler whom I can't recall, 18/10/23. Cherry red with a good sized crimson cap. Nose is cherry skins, funk, damp hay, barnyard nip, vinous. Taste comprises cherry skins, dry rot, funk, hedgerow, damp oak, cherry stones, balanced acidity. Medium bodied, light spritzy carbonation, semi drying close with a puckering rasp. Solid.

opalescent ruby colour, moderate sized creamy pinkish-reddish head; aroma of citric and acetic acidy, earthy, some sour cherry juice and acetone notes; taste is similar to the aroma with decent bitterness and some slight woody notes; really extraordinary kriek lambic

Clear bright red colour with fizzy head. Aroma is oakey and quite chalky, very Boon. Flavour starts out like a regular Boon Gueuze but the cherry grows and grows. Nicely fruity and juicy. Luckily not so much cherry pit.

Panda thanks to Cloin: Poured dark ruby red with a pink white head. Aroma is pungent fruits, cherries, musty, underlying grain. Taste is tart sour cherries, light metallic, tangy finish.

Panda courtesy of Theydon_Bois, cheers Colin! Bright red colour, thin pink head and aroma of cherry, lemon rind, funky. Taste is tart, sour, cherry, with coconut, chocolate notes, with lemon rind and some drying acidity. Medium bodied, light carbonation, drying funky finish. Nicely drinkable.

Bottle share at CBJ. Thanks to Cloin. A mild haze on this cherry colour beer, small pink head. Airy palate, fairly dry, decent fine carbonation. Soft malts, good cherry, slightly tart but rich and slightly ripe. Alright mellow cherry sourness.
