13th May 2023 An almost opaque dark brown beer, small tan head. Smooth palate, mildly viscous, decent fine carbonation. Rich malts, touch of creamy sweetness but a good amount of toffee in there, not too sweet. The plum liqueur comes through loud and clear, a boozy rich ripe fruitiness that is right up my Strasse - danke. Touch of barrel woodiness late on, vanilla lurking. Finishes smooth and viscous with boozy spice, savoury barrel and a sweeter ripe plum coming through. Oh yeah, a barleywine serving it's rather lovely barrel and doing a spiffing job of it. Inventive, unusual and quite delightful.

0.33 l bottle from Goblet Beer Store Zagreb, shared with Ogi and Marko. Dark brown with reddish tint. Alcohol, dried fruit, fermenting fruit. Oak present. Apricot in the back. Flavour is fruity, citrusy, zesty blood orange syrup. Surprisingly not too sweet. Getting better over time. Tart plums and apricot. Quite drinkable, some warmth. Light tart finish. Actually tastes good!

Bottle from Goblet, with Ogi and Hrabren. Blackish, very dark brown body, tan, brownish head. Very dusty, sweet aroma, jammy, plum jam, bit stale I have to admit. Sweet taste, huge plum jam vibes, but genuine plum jam, sweet and lightly tart, somehow vaguely metallic as well, woody and somewhat dusty, but quite creamy, quite fruity, slightly warming in the background. Lovely in some ways but imperfect.
