An Irish Whiskey BA Imperial Stout Brewed with Coffee.
Taste: A full-flavoured beer with a silky body, which unveils a journey of smooth coffee, toasted malts and vanilla with a light dab of whiskey in the finish. As the beer warms up, the flavour profile opens up to hints of warming spices and roasted hazelnut.
Appearance: Jet black with a chestnut brown head.
Nose: Smooth aroma of freshly brewed coffee with hints of luscious vanilla, charred oak and candied ginger gently unfolding from the glass.
Malts: Pilsner zero, Munich light, Carafa special T-2, Oat malt, Caramel pale, Caramel 150, Dark sugar, Lactose, Maltodextrin
Hops: Columbus, Yellow Sub, Coffee
OG 29.8° ; FG 10.6° ; IBU 25

Bottle. Black beer with a small brown head. Caramel/toffee aroma with light coffee. Caramel and toffee flavor with whiskey and light coffee. Medium-plus bodied. Caramel and toffee linger with whiskey, light coffee, and light vanilla.

Bottle at home thnx to a friend, black beer, small head. Aroma is roast, coffee, malt, whiskey, some dark fruit. Taste is light tart, roast, malt, coffee, chocolate, whiskey, liquorice, dark fruit. nice.

Bottle. Pours a thickish black, very little head. Aroma is caramel, chocolate, coffee, whiskey. Medium to full body. Flavour is sweet, coffee and lots of caramel, brown sugar, some whiskey. Good, but not living up to põhjala's great cellar series beers.

Panda courtesy of mR_fr0g, cheers Fergus! Black colour, afew bubbles on top and aroma of roast malt, whiskey barrel, coffee. Taste is sweetish, malt, roasty, dark fruits, berries, whiskey barrel, coffee hint, some booze and earthy nutty bitterness. Full bodied, low carbonation, roasty nutty bitter finish. Nicely drinkable.

Panda at home, thanks to Pappa Fergus, 07/01/24. Black with a tan head that dissipates to a swirl. Nose is dark malts, charr, dried fruit rinds, whisky barrel, light herb. Taste comprises bitter fruit rinds, spice, herb, whisky barrel, charr, tangy fruits, cocoa sprinkle, dried red berries, just a hint of coffee. Full bodied, fine carbonation, drying close with a spike of alcohol. Okay BA impy if a little tangy and disjointed.

Bottle at home picked up from HOTM. A thick dark black coloured pour with a decent mid tan head. Aroma is meaty woody roast, char, toasted ssugars, charred oak, liquorice, salty roast. Flavour is composed of tangy dark berries, tayberry, bitter dark chocolate, woody roast, robust roast, liquorice, bitter roast. Palate is semi sweet, and tangy, moderate carbonation. robust.

Bottle @ home. Black body under a small, short lasting tan head. Aroma of dark malt, chocolate and slightly perfumed. Taste is sweet dark malt, dark chocolate, coffee and hint of whisky with low bitterness. Medium body and same aftertaste. OK, but far from the best from this brewery. Feels a bit weak in taste with a messy combination of flavors.
