Can. Le Comptoir Belge. Mostly clear pale gold. Decent white swede. Nose has ripe resinous hop. Ripe citrus. Lean sweet malt. Taste is fairly sweet with moderate sappy hop bitterness. Good body. Piny bitterness to finish. Good albeit a tad sweet first off.

On tap At Nanobrasserie L,Ermitage, Brussels on 23rd January 2026. Clear golden amber with lasting, shallow and lose off-white foam and partial lacing. Grassy hoppiness and citrus zest in aroma. A blend of tart citrus fruits in-mouth with a solid malt. A harmonious finish of juicy fruits and robust malts.medium bodied with a zingy mouthfeel.

(Draught at L'Ermitage Taproom, Brussels, 18 Oct 2024) Golden colour with frothy, white head. Fruity, hoppy nose with notes of citrus, grapefruit, resin and pine needles. Fruity, hoppy taste with grapefruit, pine needles, resin, white bread and a balanced citric/piney bitterness in the finish. Medium body, quite dry. Fresh and clean IPA. Nice one.

Can from LCB, consumed 1 month past BBE. Pours a reasonable hazy yellow-gold with nice fluffy white top. Aroma has some grains, melon, underripe mango, hint of hop spice. Taste has the same notes with some added resinous quality. Mid bodied, fine spikey carbonation.

10/IV/24 - 33cl can from Geers (Oostakker), shared @ Barjac (FR), BB: 1/IX/24 (2024-224)
Cloudy pale beige blond beer, big creamy irregular white head, stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: fruity, tropical fruits, juicy, a bit floral, malty touch, decent. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: good bitterness, grapefruit, some other citrus notes, tropical fruits, juicy, mango, very nice! Aftertaste: more bitterness, juicy, grapefruit, citrus, dry, a little dank, slightly sweet, very nice!

Hazy IPA by Ermitage, can shared by Craftmember, cheers! Cobweb-lacing, frothy, egg-white, stable head on a cloudy yolk-yellow blonde beer. Aroma of green mango, stewed shallots, pomelo zest, green kiwi, Cape gooseberry, lemongrass. Fruity onset but not overly sweet, hinting at unripe mango and Cape gooseberry, perhaps some kiwi, softly carbonated with doughy pale malt core, a tad powdery in the end from hop particles I suppose; lots of green mango, citrus zest and sweet red onion retronasally, with a peppery bitterness lingering – quite strongly so even for a hazy IPA these days. Lovely.

33cl can, BB 10/10/2023.
