The original session beer, re-imagined for tap. Ordinary Bitters formed a cornerstone of English drinking culture. Perfectly balanced between malt sweetness and hop bitterness, our interpretation is brought up to date with the use of US Chinook hops. Delicate hop aromas of pine, spice and dark fruits are followed by a smooth, full bodied palate with notes of biscuit and caramel. Vegan friendly.

Can 47 cl. Pours an almost clear, orangey amber with a small, creamy, off-white head. Nutty aroma. Thin and watery body, faint nuts, toast and toffee with a subtle bitterness. Straight and very quaffable Ordinary Bitter. 110526

Can with nitro, shared thanks to Alexander. Clear deep amber, smooth head 💪. Soft caramel, old wood, stone fruits, biscuits, soft grassy. Light sweet and a bit more bitter. Slick body, quite light, low nitro carbonation.

470ml widget can. Clear amber gold, dense off-white head. Aroma of fruity malt loaf, light toasty malt. Taste is light sweet, fruity, light toasted, malt loaf, some biscuit and caramel, piney bitterness. Light bodied, very smooth.

Draught Ultra dense & fine, bit cram-coloured head over clear amber beer, rings of lace. Sweetish, caramel, toasted malts (crystal?). Sweet, faintly toasted, but ending absolutely neutral, almost watery. Light body, mild carbonation. Slick; empty finish. Ends disappointing.

Had it as The Society's Smooth Bitter. Got to be the same one.... Anyway, it exploded out the can and went everywhere. Bitter hops, smooth malt and creamy mouthfeel all there. Just nothing special. Jog on.

Can at home in Hackney - picked up from Caps and Taps. Pours clear copper-gold with a tight, creamy off-white head. Light sweet flavour with nicely toasted malts, British yeast, leafy hops, a little twig and pine. Light bodied with delicate carbonation. Smooth and balanced finish. Tasty gear.

Draft @ BXLBeerFest'23.

Pours fairly clear, amber, small creamy white head. Scent is bit caramelly, crisp, pue maltyness. Taste is smooth indeed. Some caramel, mild bitterness.
