Nachdem unser Collab mit Hoppebräu von den Braumeistern Markus und Mathis letztes Jahr sehr erfolgreich gewesen ist, möchten wir dieses Jahr mit einer Neuauflage überraschen. Anders als im vorangegangenen Sud, haben wir uns hier auf Hopsteiner US Hopfen konzentriert, wieder aus eigener Züchtung. Markus hatte schon immer Interesse mit der Hopfensorte Lotus zu arbeiten. Somit war der Grundstein für die Hopfung des diesjährigen Sudes gesetzt. Als Partner für den dezent vanilligen Lotus mit seinem Aroma von tropischen Früchten und Orange bot sich Sultana als citrusfrischer Mitspieler mit Ananasnoten an. Wir freuen uns auf die aromatische Synergie der beiden Hopfensorten als Spiegel der harmonischen Zusammenarbeit unserer Firmen.

Malz: Pilsner Malz, Karamellmalz hell, Weizenmalz hell, Hafermalz
Hopfen: US Sultana, US Lotus
Geschmack: weich, tropische Früchte, blumig
Passt zu: Fisch, Grillen, Hendl

Can picked up from Bierkiste München (I think) consumed at home Sunday 23rd September 2023 listening to Craven Faults but now switching to Iggy Pops Iggy Confidential show on 6Music, cooking Meatballs in a tomato, cardamom & lime sauce. Pours hazy yellow gold with a white head, some pineapple and citrus come through in the mouth, soft mouthfeel, juicy. Aroma which I should have mentioned first is citrus and tropical fruit, Pina Colada. Nice NEIPA.

Murky golden beer with a white head. Aroma of sweet juicy stone fruits, apricot citra. Taste of sweet juicy hops, stone fruits, apricot, mild citrus. Moderate bitterness.

Can. Opaque light golden. Melon, rind, stone fruit. Taste is sparkly and bitter sparkle, with some fluffy bitterness. Sticky.

Can at the post-HopDog anniversary Garching tasting. Murky yellow body, off-white head. Slightly unripe peach dominates the aroma, bit chalky and minerally. Relatively juicy, dryish taste, yeah, some citrus perhaps, but again unripe, heading into a dull herbal finish, lightly creamy/custards, but also slightly unimpressively bitter. Fresh but... at what cost? Meh is the best definition.

Can. Opaque yellow color with white head. Aroma is green fruits, pineapple, citric. Taste is the same, a bit mealy. Low carbonation, chewy. Interesting unripe fruits hop character, but not quite my type of Haze.

Can. Milky yellow, white foam. Herbal, melon, spicy hop. Medium sparkly body, almond flour, citrus, very interesting hops, but peters out quick.
