Bottle. A dark brown beer with a small, dense, dark beige head. Lacing. The aroma is quite piney and citrusy, with roasted malts, dark chocolate and some coffee. Toffee and licorice hints. It's medium to full bodied, semi-dry and with a decent bitterness. Pleasant flavor with grapefruit and pine cones, and dark chocolate, toffee and roasted malts in the back. Medium length finish. Nice and easy drinkable. 231231

330ml bottle bought at Vinmonopolet Trondheim Torg. Pours a deep dark brownish body, lasting beige head, fair lacing. Good looking, indeed! Inviting roasted malty aromas added by herbal hops. Well balanced malt-fruity flavours, moments of earthy malts, chocolate, and spruce. Smoothly, roasted malt-fruity ending. A nice one, just a bit too thin on the swallow. Sommeravslutning på Mi2, Cardianl juni-23, fra fat: mørkebrun med fint skum som varer. Kaffe, mørke bær, citrus og furunål. Halvtørr, slank, utmerket forfriskende og med god ettersmak.

Dark brown with a solid beige head. Smell is a little hoppy, a little zesty. Flavour is malty, zesty, grassy hope. Like a mellower black IPA. Decent enough.

Bottle from Against The Grain. Dark brown body with a thick beige head. No visible carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of Twiglets, coffee and Marmite. Flavour of black pepper, earth and charred toast. Medium body with a smooth texture. Soft fizz. This has a rich roasted malt depth that belies the light ABV.
