We teamed up with our friends at Sawdust City, the folks at Beer Town and our all-time favourite beer geeks Terry & Emma to make the second half our our collaboration - Lone Tree. Driven by our love for Third Moon's hazy IPA Bone Tree and Sawdust City's west-coast IPA Lone Pine, we merged the hop bill of a NEIPA and the malt body of a west-coast IPA to create something delicious!

A golden ipa with a thin lacing white head. In aroma, sweet fruity caramel malt with light resinous hops, light mineral notes, treacle, very nice. In mouth, a nice biscuit malt with resinous floral hops, light pine needles, pleasant and smooth.

Tasting at Matt's, can
Pale blond colour, slight haze. Very nice fruit aroma, passion fruit, tropical juice. Dry mouthfeel, on the weak side, a bit creamy and buttery, quite strong hopping, more bitter than aromatic though.
Ok beer.

473ml can. Slightly milky, yellow-ish, pale golden colour with average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Citrusy fruity and slightly grassy, minimally piney, hoppy aroma, pale malty background, hints of lemon, a touch of lemongrass. Taste is citrusy fruity and minimally piney and grassy hoppy, notes of lemon, a touch of lemongrass, minimally biscuity, pale malyt basis. Watery texture, smooth, simultaneously minimally dry palate, medium to fine, mildly prickly carbonation. Nice lemon flavours, nevertheless a bit cautious overall - OK.

16oz (thx, Chris S.!) @ Matt's new place. Appearance: hazy blonde with a white head. Aroma: a bit sweet, some tropical fruits. Taste: along the same lines, smooth, finishes with floral bitterness. Overall: ok, but not it's not really a West Coast.

Slight haze, bubbly head. Quite pale. The aroma has a fuckton of citra, so much onion. They got lost on the way to Yakima and ended up in Walla Walla. Pale malt, with more citra. Just those couple of simple elements, moderate bitterness.

473mL can, pours a hazy blonde with a small white head. Aroma is loaded with cat piss, dank hops, some allium, and crisp biscuity malt. Flavour is loaded with allium, some dank hops, and biscuity malt. Lots of allium on the finish. Doesn't really seem like a west coast IPA to me -- not nearly enough hop assertiveness. Decent but underwhelming.
