Black with a small tan head. Aroma of molasses and brown sugar with lots of smoke. Thin and dry smoked malt flavour with a touch of licorice. Long lasting smoke aftertaste.

33cl bottle from ølbutikken pitch black, large thick brown head. smoky aroma, licorice, salt, a bit sour. flavor is smoked grill, sweetness, hops, sourness, malts, licorice, faint toffee. a very strange beer indeed, lots of flavor for such a low alc. pct. and very smoked.

Bottle that I picked up Denmark Sept 08 and consumed 04-01-09. I had been looking out for this beer in Denmark and was very pleased to find such a traditional beer, I wasn’t disappointed at all. Pours very dark brown with tan head. The aroma is so smoky, right up there with Scherlenka for smokiness, but its an interesting dry malty smokiness, good woody attributes, the aroma is quite faultless, stunning. In the mouth it is undoubtedly thin but maybe the modern palate just expects something with more depth and punch, in many respects it has similar traits to a traditional British Mild, easy drinking, low abv, simple, good session beer its just this has the most amazing smoky aroma. Taste is a touch watery but there are some malts and the smokiness is also in the mouth. Thoroughly enjoyable beer that I would like to come across again. A10 A4 F5 P3 OV14 3.6

(Bottle, Ölbaren, 25 July 2008) Black colour with creamy, pale brown head. Smokey, peaty, malty nose with notes of freshly smoked malt and asphalt. Malty, smokey taste with heavily roasted and smoked grain, chocolate, dark rye bread and loads of tar. Low bitterness, thin body, just smoke and tar. Very interesting beer and quite nice as well.

Shared by MaxxDaddy, never thought I would come across this and it was an experience like no other. Pours with a small tan head a a very dark clear brown body. Aroma delivers as promised, "pow in the kisser" smokiness. the smoke is deep, woody, lightly sweet and very awesome. Its just all smoke. Taste however is exactly the opposite. has no flavor. Its just like water, which I guess makes it super easy to keep drinking. All aroma of a beer with no flavor. But I could keep smelling this for hours.

33 cL bottle and from tap at every CBF I’ve attended. Pours deep dark brown with reddish hue, very minor lacing head. Thick tar like aroma, burned rubber, paint, hardroasted malt and smoke. Smoked flavour, very heavy. Has a minor hoppy twist, very minor. Dry with a burned rubber finish. But also slight watery and thin finish, shocking aroma and flavour for a 2.4 % brew. Tar like the smell I would sense around around wooden fishing boats in dock at the harbour in the Summer. I love this one, really unique.
