Sampled @ Cardinal. Dark brown, almost black with a small beige head. Strong aroma of smoked malt, tar and cured meat. Flavor is super sweet, very much smoke, cured meat, ham and sweet liquorice. A bit thin body and lots of aftertaste in same style as the rest. Quite special, if not to say weird with this combo of lactose sweet and smoked meat. A novelty beer for me.

Savner fylde. Interessant, men med uvant balanse.

330ml bottle, thanks to Morten at Lord Nelson. Oily pour, jet black body. Smell of smoked sausages. The flavour character has got more smoked sausage to it than bacon, added by a malty touch. Very dry and salty to the ending. Diluted on the swallow. Difficult to rate this one (Copenhagen, 09.05.2012).

Black with a small brown head. Aroma is extremely smoky. Flavor is rather sweet and light bitter. Finish is dry and light bitter. Watery, light bodied and flat. Aroma and appearance are both nice but taste and palate are really disappointing. This beer is so flat there wasn’t even a sound when i opened it. 150311 -- Earlier rating from 180804: 7 3 5 2 11 = 2.8.

0,33 l. bottle bought at the brewery. A very unusual beer. In the past this type of beer was very common in Denmark, but the smoked, low alcohol beer is very rare now. Massive smell and taste of smoke. I also get hints of (cold!) bacon. Aftertaste is thin but no wonder - only 2,4 %.. Carbonation is flat, head is brown however short-lived. Color is black. Smoked beers is not my kind of thing, but a impressive volume of taste in a low alcohol-beer. Respect to Refvindinge Brewery to keep this artefact alive. It really shows the span of beertypes.

Bottle shared at Paul’s tasting. Pours black. Nose is intense BBQ, bacon, fire pit smoke, licorice and roasted malts. Taste has same components, but extremely muted. Almost no body. Very low ABV really shows.

Obviously from bottle, purchased somewhere in Copenhagen. Blackish with a brownish head. Bacon and smoke in the nose, nice. Watery smoked cheese-like malty taste, light yoghurty hints. I can see why many wouldn’t like this but tis is a really good low alcohol beer.

330 ml bottle, bought in Denmark. ABV is 2.4%. Colour (E 150) added. Very dark brown colour, nearly black. Moderate tan head. Strong aroma of smoked malts, smoked meat, bonfires and tar. Thin and slightly acidic mouthfeel, but refreshing. The flavour is smoked malts from A to B, fairly dry. Moderate hops in the finish. Highly drinkable - an interesting experience.
