Bottle conditioned: a clear deep straw colour with a moderate white head, fading quickly to leave elegant lacing and some light carbonation; fresh fruity aroma, with hints of apples and oranges; refreshing citrus taste with lemeon and orange flavours and an acidic bitterness to followed by a grapefruit aftertaste. Excellent.

This is a very refreshing drink. Golden in colour. Bubbly white head. Fresh floral to the nose. Light hoppy and fruity in taste with a touch of bitterness towards the end. Dry ending. Rather thin mouthfeel (500ml bottle at The Calthorpe Arms - one of the great Youngs pubs in London 16.09.2006).

Bottle picked up at Morrissons, Aylesbury 8th August 2006, and drank this in a field at Cropredy, Fairport Conventions Cropredy Festival Saturday 12th August. Mmmmhhhm.. I normally really like Youngs beers but this just wasn’t for me. Light golden colour touch hazy, some florally hoppy notes, but it was the taste for me that really suprised, it just tasted unbalanced, a sour bitterness that was unrelenting, some citrusy flavours, It was’nt off or anything just not right for me, could’nt wait to get onto something else.

Bottle: Poured a light golden color ale with a big foamy head with good retention. Aroma of sweet malt with a nice floral aspect. Taste is refreshing with some semi-sweet malt, subtle but noticeable floral hops and a dry finish. By no mean is this a great beer but it is refreshing enough on a hot summer day.

500ml bottle from Asda. Hazy paleish gold with thin white head. Grapefruit and some hop aromas. Did I think this was a lager? Well it has some over carbonation and maybe a bit of cardboard, but otherwise it is pretty much a golden bitter. OK in mouth apart from too many bubbles with grapefruit sllightly yeasty finish. Fine

(bottle 50 cl) Very pale, filtered beer which is in a hurry getting out of the bottle - probably because of the added live yeast. An interesting feature in a lager. But absolutely no sediment and unfortunately not much flavour either. Pronounced bitterness. More of a gadget than a real beer. 120904

Bottled. Yellow colour with small white head. Honey and citrus in the aroma. Citric taste with hints of hops. Bitter taste with hints of sweetness, in my opinion would be better the otherway around. As it is now it’s a pretty strange combination in taste (but not that bad). The taste was a disappointment compared to the aroma though. Also the beer is very watery.

Bottled (BB 05/2005)
Honey yellow color, small creamy white head, lace. Light fruity and ashy nose. Flavor starts citrusy, then gives flowery hops. Finish is sweetish and oily. This is lame and dissapointing brew from Youngs.

Blond color, quite flat. Too simple aroma, but the reasonable hopping creates a pleasant taste, dry and a bit fruity (citrus fruits peel).
