14/V/2012 - 33cl bottle, 8.5% ABV from Geers (Oostakker) @ home - BB: XI/12 (2012-498)
Clear dark brown beer, big creamy light beige to yellowish head, stable and adhesive. Aroma: very fruity, little grassy, metallic, brown sugar, some caramel, citrus fruits. MF: good carbon, medium body. Taste: lots of banana, caramel, some chocolate, mocha, little hoppy, fruity. Aftertaste: more banana, lots of chocolate, bit hoppy, mocha, soapy and bitter ending. Alcohol is warming the throat.

Bottle @ home. Clear dark amber to ruby red color, small beige head. Smell herbs, cooked vegetables, sweetness, spices. Taste malts, raisin, herbs or spices again and also sweetness again. Medium carbonation, low to medium body.

33cl bottle, BB dec 2010.

(aged bottle, 33cl) Hazy, amber, almost copper colour with a dense and tanned foamy head. Mildly yeasty and vinous fruity aroma with notes of plums and raisins, backed by slightly sweet cara-malt and delicately spicy notes. Moderately sweet and slightly sour flavour, medium bodied with a well-carbonated mouthfeel. Cara-malty, slightly bready and distinctively dried fruity taste with a mildly vinous character; mildly sweet and sour fruity finish with the alcohol well-hidden. Pleasant brew. 05.VI.11

Sampled at Zythos 2009. Clear amber, lasting beige head. English bitter aroma, malt that has English characteristics especially on the caramel flavour. I thought that it was ok

Draught at Zythos, St Niklaas, Belgium, 08-03-09 Pours murky brown with a small off white head. Light hops on the nose, crikey this drinks much easier than its strength which I had down as 8.5% for some reason. caramel and toffee flavours abound, its fine. A6 A3 F5 P3 OV12 2.9
